Nuggets vs Timberwolves Pickswise Expert Predictions

Denver Nuggets
Point Spread Pick
DEN Nuggets -5.5(-110)

Nikola Jokic and his Nuggets look to go over the .500 mark for the first time this season as they take on the Minnesota Timberwolves on Monday. This will be a rematch of what was a tightly contested postseason series a couple of years back, since then both teams have had a few changes to their roster. Denver appears to have finally surrounded their superstar with enough talent for the team to click on both ends, some people even have Denver as the number one favorite to win it all this year. A win against Minnesota would certainly add to the confidence of those people, as the Nuggets have struggled in head-to-head meetings losing 6 games in a row and going just 1-5 ATS during that stretch.

Minnesota led by as many as 11 points as they took down the East champs Indiana Pacers 114-110 on Sunday. Julius Randle had 31 points, but the main concern for the T’Wolves was the injury to Anthony Edwards who left the game just 3 minutes in with hamstring tightness. This being a 2nd night of a back-to-back scenario it is unlikely he will suit up, which means the line has now shifted from Minnesota -1.5 to +5.5 assuming Ant Man won’t play. Edwards missed just 3 regular season games last year and his team went 1-2 SU during that stretch.

This is an opportunity for the Nuggets to send a message against the shorthanded Wolves who won’t have much rest in between games. Denver is healthy and coming off back-to-back 130+ point performances, I’ll be backing them to get the job done here.

Nuggets -5.5 is available at time of publishing. Playable at that number.
