The 2025 NBA Finals continue Sunday, June 8, as the Indiana Pacers visit the Oklahoma City Thunder for Game 2 at Paycom Center. After a stunning 111–110 comeback win in Game 1, Indiana leads the series 1–0, despite trailing nearly the entire game. Tyrese Haliburton delivered a clutch 21-foot jumper with 0.3 seconds left, marking the latest game-winner in a Finals game since Michael Jordan’s 1997 buzzer-beater. Indy really did it again huh?
The Pacers’ victory was their fifth postseason comeback from a 15+ point deficit, an NBA record in the play-by-play era. Despite committing 19 first-half turnovers, Indiana’s balanced scoring and resilience proved decisive. Pascal Siakam contributed 19 points and 10 rebounds, while Obi Toppin added 17 points off the bench. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander led the Thunder with 38 points, but Oklahoma City faltered in the final quarter. The Thunder’s elite defense, featuring Lu Dort and Alex Caruso, aims to contain Haliburton’s playmaking. Both teams are inexperienced at this level all around…except for Alex Caruso and Pascal Siakam. This lead to the downfall for OKC late in the 4th. They’ll need to do better down the stretch if they don’t want something like this to happen again. For Game 2, the Thunder are favored by 11 points, with a first-half spread of -6.5. Expect Oklahoma City to come out aggressively, seeking to establish control early and even the series.
