Los Angeles Clippers vs Utah Jazz Prediction, Odds and Picks for Wednesday, 10/22/25
Clippers vs Jazz Pickswise Expert Predictions
The new-look Los Angeles Clippers hit the road for the Beehive State to open the new campaign, and there are some people thinking championship for the Clips. Of course, we have seen this before; L.A. has built plenty of good teams on paper, but the results just aren’t there on the court. Amir Coffey and Norman Powell are good, but additions of Bradley Beal, John Collins, Brook Lopez and Chris Paul more than make up for it. James Harden is happy after getting an extension in the offseason, too, and the versatile Nicolas Batum was brought back to provide depth. Collins gets to face his former team in the opening game, serving as a nice floor-spacer in L.A. It could take time for this new unit to gel together, however.
Utah doesn’t have a ton of expectations after just 17 victories last season. It’s been weird to see Utah losing for the past 3 seasons, and it doesn’t appear anything will change soon. Kyle Anderson and Georges Niang are the additions, along with Kevin Love and Jusuf Nurkic in the frontcourt. The key add, though, was Ace Bailey through the NBA Draft. He was picked #5, while the Jazz also landed Walter Clayton Jr. from the defending national champ Florida Gators. Utah has some nice, young pieces to build around and a solid group of mentors to show those players how to go about things. But is that enough to be competitive? It’s opening night and 10 points is a lot, so let’s trust Utah. But if the Jazz get their doors blown off, we’ll fade them frequently in the future.
Clippers vs Jazz prediction: Utah +10 (-110) available at time of publishing. Playable at that number.
