Back-to-back wins over Charlotte and Brooklyn have eased the pressure off the Timberwolves a bit, as they await the return of their superstar Anthony Edwards. At 3-1 they have one of the better road records in the West, that’ll be put to the test at Madison Square Garden on Wednesday. Former Knick Julius Randle has been carrying a huge load in these first 7 games, leading the team in scoring averaging 26 points per game. However, in his last appearance at MSG he scored only 8 points last season. On the road the T-Wolves are just 2-5 ATS in 7 outings.

The Knicks are off to a great start to their 7-game homestand after back-to-back double digit wins over Chicago and Washington. It has taken them a bit to adjust to new head coach Mike Brown, especially on defense where they rank just 22nd in efficiency which is quite the drop off since the Tom Thibodeau era. The good news is they still Jalen Brunson on the other end, along with other complimentary pieces. New York invested a lot in depth during the offseason, however the bench production has been poor so far with an average of just 27.1 points per game coming off the pine.

These two split the regular season series last year, with each side winning their road game. I have go with the Knicks this time around. It’s hard to ignore their run of 4 straight games covering at home, at some point the Timberwolves will feel the absence of Edwards and I think tonight is the night. New York to cover.
