Pelicans vs Warriors Pickswise Expert Predictions

Point Spread Pick
NO Pelicans +8.5(-110)

I’m not giving 8.5 points to anyone — yes, that even includes the New Orleans Pelicans — when the Golden State Warriors are without Stephen Curry (quad). The Davidson product has missed 4 games this season and Golden State is 1-3 SU without him. That includes a setback against the lowly Kings and a 25-point rout at the Nuggets’ hands. The only opponent the Warriors have defeated without Curry is Indiana, which is currently 3-16. Okay, New Orleans is also 3-16. However, the Pelicans have actually been playing decent basketball of late. As such, my Pelicans vs Warriors pick is for the visitors to cover.

New Orleans thrashed Chicago 143-130 on Monday and then pushed Memphis to overtime on Wednesday. In the Pels’ last 6 outings they also have a 3-point loss to Dallas and a 7-point setback against Denver. In other words, they are not getting run out of the gym. Derik Queen has been impressive in the early stages of his rookie year — and he better be, because New Orleans gave up its unprotected first-round pick in 2026 form (and right now that’s looking like it could be as high as #1). In the Pelicans’ last 6 contests, 5 different guys have led in points, the same goes for assists and 4 different players have led in rebounds. They are getting contributions from a lot of sources. That’s what the Warriors need when Curry is sidelined, but they aren’t getting much from anyone else other than Jimmy Butler on the offensive end of the court. Give me the points.

Pelicans vs Warriors prediction: New Orleans +8.5 (-110) available at time of publishing. Playable to +7.5.
