The defending champion Oklahoma City Thunder hit the road to battle the LA Clippers at Intuit Dome in Inglewood, California. OKC has won all seven games to date, but it is just 3-4 against the spread (ATS). As a single-digit favorite, the Thunder are 1-4 ATS in five games this season, too, while going 1-2 ATS in three road contests, too. The good news for the defending champs, the defense has come together after a slow start. The first two games saw OKC allow an average of 129.5 PPG, helped out, of course, but a pair of double-overtime games. The D has allowed 108 or fewer points in the past five outings.

For the Clippers, they suffered a 120-119 loss against the visiting Miami Heat on Monday, and now it faces the quick turnaround on no rest with the champs coming to town. LA has lost two of the past three games, and it has failed to cover the past four games, while going 1-5 ATS in the past six outings. At home, the Clippers are just 1-3 ATS in four game at Intuit Dome, too, although they have won three of four games. OKC is playing much more consistent basketball, and it has been much better against the number, too. The Clippers cannot yet be trusted. However, based on OKC’s ATS record as a single-digit favorite, proceed with caution.
