The Thunder just recorded a 14th win in a row, dismantling the Dallas Mavericks at home 132-111. SGA did his job in just 3 quarters, finishing the game with 33 points, the OKC lead was as big as 32 points at one point during the game. Sunday sees the defending champs face another opponent against whom they’re double-digit favorites. At 22-1 SU they are on pace to break all kinds of records in the regular season, they won already once against the Jazz this season 144-112 a couple of weeks ago. This time around there’s a long list of absences due to injuries. SGA, Alex Caruso, Lu Dort, Isaiah Joe and Isaiah Hartenstein will all miss Sunday’s game.

The Utah Jazz thoroughly embarrassed themselves on Friday at MSG. The Knicks opened the game by scoring the first 23 points, the game was pretty much over after the first 6 minutes of play and it was ugly to watch. The good news about the NBA is the fact that there’s very little time in between the games, so the Jazz already have a new opportunity to redeem themselves and forget one of their worst losses of the season. Playing at home will give them some hope here, especially with all the injuries we listed for the Thunder. At 6-6 SU they’ve been decent at Delta Center. They’ve got the 8th best offensive efficiency in home games this season, but they do concede a lot of points on the other side as well.

All runs must come to an end at some point. OKC is the deepest team in the league, they’ve proven time after time they’re capable of beating anyone despite who is out there on the court. That said, from a bettors perspective it makes way more sense to gamble on the home team to win outright here. The Jazz players got an earful from their head coach after that performance against the Knicks, a response could be on the cards. That said, I’ll risk it and back Utah to win here.
