Best MLB player prop for Wednesday's MLB slate: Ryan to maul Cubs
We’re focused on football right now. I get it. Fantasy football drafts are happening everywhere, college is back, it’s getting crazy. With that being said, we can’t forget about the boys of summer. They got us here! And after seeing what’s on tap tonight, it will be easy to keep our eyes on the baseball. My absolute favorite way to bet MLB player props is back with a matchup that’s perfect!
On top of this article, you should definitely check out our experts’ picks on all of the MLB action today. It’s just a smart thing to do. Also, bets can be added to the card, so why not follow me on Twitter in case we get some last-second action? Once lineups are announced for some of these games, there is a chance for opportunity to knock.
Joe Ryan over 3.5 strikeouts (-160)
Joe Ryan to give up a home run (+105)
Line available at DraftKings at time of publishing.
These are two separate MLB player prop bets and both can be found at DraftKings. Now you all know that I would never pay -160 for any bet. I just wouldn’t do it. Even if I thought it had a 100% chance of winning. I just hate doing it so I won’t. Except for tonight. I have to get in on this one.
First of all, this kid is making his MLB debut tonight, so there is that. But, one look at this kid will tell you everything you need to know. He’s got the hair of a god and the fastball to match. This kid made 2 starts for the Twins’ AAA team and struck out 17 in 9 innings of work. I know it was against minor leaguers, but his opponent tonight has a bunch of AAA guys on the roster.
Over the last week, only 1 team in MLB has struck out more than the Chicago Cubs. That team played an extra game too. We’re talking 71 times in the last 205 at-bats. That’s terrible, so Ryan should get his whiffs but these same Cubs have also hit 13 dingers in their last 6 games. They are swinging for the fences and Ryan is a guy that will give up a dong or 2. He’s given up 3 in his last 13 innings pitched. I love these MLB player props tonight.
