Best NBA player props for Tuesday's slate: Jimmy Butler to lead Miami to another victory?

Happy Tuesday everyone! The regular season is close to an end, and tonight we have a total of 11 NBA games on the docket, which can only mean one thing — a good slate awaits us. Before we get into my favorite prop bets, make sure you check out all of our experts’ thoughts on the side and total for each of those games.

I’m off to a great 16-4 start at Pickswise, but I’ve got two more strong plays in my sights, so we will try to make it 18-4. Below, I’ve broken down two of my favorite bets and why I think they offer some nice value.

Michael Porter Jr. over 23.5 points (-110)

Michael Porter Jr. has improved a lot since last season, and he is getting better by every month. He has 19.2 points on average with unbelievable efficiency, 54.5% FG, and 44.6% from behind the three-point line. He scored over 20 points in 16 of his last 20 games and has an average of 24 points over that period.

The Charlotte Hornets are currently in eighth place on the East, only one win ahead of the ninth and 10th-placed Pacers and Wizards. The Denver Nuggets are fourth in the West, only one win behind the third-placed Los Angeles Clippers. There are only four games left in the regular part of the season, so this is a crucial game for both teams, and we can expect a competitive match.

The Hornets are an excellent matchup for Porter Jr. He is playing SG-SF at 6’10”, and Charlotte doesn’t have the size or a good enough defense to defend him. Their first and primary goal will be to slow down Jokic, which will open a lot of space for MPJ. These teams already faced each other this season, and MPJ scored 28 points in the blowout win, while Jokic finished the game with 12 points having only seven field-goal attempts.

Jimmy Butler over 35.5 points, assists, and rebounds (-120)

Jimmy Butler is having one of the best seasons of his career. He is averaging 21.6 points, seven rebounds, and 7.2 assists — a total of 35.8 PRA for 34 minutes on average — all that while being a great defensive player. Miami is on a 31-19 record with him playing and 6-12 without him.

Miami is in sixth place with 37 wins, and Boston is in seventh place with 35 wins, so this is a battle to avoid play-in between the two of them. They played the second game of the season two days ago, where Miami won and tied the season record to 1-1. If Miami loses tonight, they could end up in the play-in, so we expect massive minutes and production from their best player, Jimmy Butler. In the first two games versus Boston, Butler had 45 and 37 PRA.
