We’ve got a four-game slate for Friday’s NHL card, and that means there are plenty of opportunities for value. Right now, we’re going to be focusing on player props, bringing you a few of our favorite props. Before you bet these, make sure you also check out our picks on the side and total for every game.

Alex Ovechkin Over 4 Shots on Goal (+104)

The Washington Capitals are playing very good hockey in the month of March. In 11 games, they have won nine and are currently in second place in the East Division. Looking to continue their hot run, they will face the New Jersey Devils tonight. The Capitals are a perfect 5-0 against the Devils this season and are getting plenty of help from a guy like Alex Ovechkin. Here we are going with a shots on goal prop because Ovechkin is easily the biggest goal scoring threat on Washington. Ovechkin has 114 shots on goal this season, averaging out to 4.07 shots on goal per game. In the month of March, he is averaging 4.63 shots on goal per game, so we expect him to challenge the New Jersey goalie tonight and at least push this prop.

David Perron Over 2.5 Shots on Goal (+100)

The Blues have to be upset with their performance the other night against the Wild. They were shut out in this game 2-0. Now facing Anaheim, St. Louis looks to be ready to get back on track. Tonight we are going with a shots on goal prop because both backup goalies are expected to make the start. David Perron for the Blues will be our target player because he is basically the best player the Blues have. Perron leads his team in shots on goal with 92. This averages out to 2.78 shots on goal per game. In the month on March (12 games), Perron is averaging 3.08 shots on goal per game and just had nine alone in the game against Minnesota the other night. Since we expect a ton of scoring, backing the Blues’ best player to put shots on goal will be our play.

Be sure to check out our full game preview for Anaheim Ducks vs. St. Louis Blues.

Nikolaj Ehlers Over 2.5 Shots on Goal (-150)

Nikolaj Ehlers did a great job taking shots on goal last time we backed him, so naturally, going to him again is going to be our play tonight. Ehlers now has 108 shots on goal this season, which leads Winnipeg. That also averages to 3.27 shots on goal per game. With five shots on goal this past Wednesday against Vancouver, Ehlers now has had 17 shots over the past three games alone, an average of 5.67 shots on goal per game. Also, in five total meetings with the Flames, Ehlers has cashed this prop four times and is averaging 4.2 shots on goal against them. Because he has had plenty of success versus the Flames, backing his shots on goal prop to go over will be our play.
