After a nine-game slate on Thursday, we are in store for just a four-game schedule on Friday night. The action starts at 7:00 p.m. ET. Here we are going to focus on the player props and will be looking for guys to step up for their teams. Make sure you also check out our picks on the side and total for every game as well.

Alex DeBrincat Over 0.5 Goals (+225)

This prop looks to be more of a long shot, but with how Alex DeBrincat has been playing, there is a chance we could cash big. He is the leading scorer for the Blackhawks with nine goals and has really come alive recently. DeBrincat has scored in five of Chicago’s last seven games. This includes their most recent game against Detroit. Chicago has played Carolina twice this year as well and DeBrincat has two goals against them, so he has enough experience scoring against this team that we think he will do so again on Friday.

Connor McDavid Over 1 Assist (+100)

If you are familiar with our player prop write-ups, then you probably know how we have backed McDavid several times this season. Plenty of times has he cashed our prop, but there are probably a few he did not. Also, we tend to go with a goal scoring prop when talking about McDavid, however, this time we will be looking for assists. McDavid has 23 assists already this season, a number that leads the NHL. He has had at least one assist in 14 games this season. Six of those games is where he had at least two assists. That means just four games has McDavid failed to set up a teammate.

Given the fact we are getting about even money here, backing him to find at least two assists is worth a look. Odds are he will get one, so a push seems likely, but given the Oilers have a lethal attack, backing the over here will still be our play.

Mark Scheifele Over 1 Point (+106)

Just the other night we backed Mark Scheifele to grab an assist. Unfortunately, for our prop bet, he scored instead. That is why we are taking another look at him for Friday, but with a point-prop instead. This is a play that is likely going to result in a push with the line being set at 1.0.

Note that Scheifele is leading his team with 22 points. He has 14 assists and eight goals. In 13 games this season, he has had at least one point. That means in only two games, has he failed to contribute. In five games, Scheifele has had at least two points, which is what we are looking for tonight against a Vancouver team that is not great. Winnipeg has plenty of offensive threats for Scheifele to set up in a goal scoring position, or he can just score himself. Regardless, we still like the Jets’ top player to have a big night and to go over this prop total.
