After a four-game slate on Sunday, we are back with a nine-game schedule on Monday. The action starts at 7:00 p.m. ET. Here we are going to focus on the player props and will be looking for guys to step up for their teams. Make sure you also check out our picks on the side and total for every game as well.

Auston Matthews Over 0.5 Goals (-120)

As long as Auston Matthews keeps up his goal-scoring tear, we are going to keep going back to him time and time again. He scored two more goals the other night against Montreal, bringing his total to 18 for the season. Clearly, he is the best goal scoring threat in the entire NHL right now. Matthews has now scored seven goals in his last four games, so there is no reason to doubt his ability to score again on Monday. The Maple Leafs have played the Flames twice this season and Matthews scored in both games. For that reason, we will back him to score here again.

Aleksander Barkov Over 2.5 Shots on Goal (-138)

The Florida Panthers are a solid team this season, sitting in second-place in the Central Division. They are a well balanced team too with seven players having at least 10 points this season. Because of that, we will be instead looking to a shots on goal prop. The player we will focus on tonight is Aleksander Barkov. He leads the Panthers with 55 shots on goal. This is an average of about 3.4 shots on goal per game. Further, Barkov has had at least three shots on goal in three consecutive games and 12 of the 16 games this season. For that reason, we are backing him to put plenty of shots on frame against the Dallas Stars.

Nathan MacKinnon Over 1 Point (-110)

It was a wild weekend for both these teams as they played a game on Lake Tahoe against each other. This is the same game they was delayed more than eight hours and a game that Colorado ultimately won. Now they will face each other again on Monday night and the Avalanche will look for Nathan MacKinnon to have another dominant performance. MacKinnon is leading Colorado in points this year with 18 and just had three against Vegas. He also leads the team in assists with 14, though his goals seem to be down right now. Still, with points in back to back games against the Golden Knights, we like him to grab one here as well. Though just one point would force a push, we still believe he has a great opportunity to find at least two. For that reason, backing this over will be our play.

Be sure to check out our full game preview for Vegas Golden Knights vs. Colorado Avalanche.
