We’ve got just a two-game slate for Saturday’s NHL card, but there still plenty of opportunities to find some value. Keep in mind that the playoffs will kick off tonight and it is sure to be a wild game. Right now, we’re going to be focusing on player props, bringing you a few of our favorite props. Before you bet these, make sure you also check out our picks on the side and total for every game.

Connor McDavid Over 1.5 Points (-148)

The playoffs are just around the corner as the Oilers will officially finish there season tonight. It is a weird scheduling spot because the game on Saturday evening will be the start of the playoffs. This afternoon we will still be backing the best player in the league, despite this game not having an impact. Of course, that being Connor McDavid, who has been outstanding this entire year. The fact that he had 104 points on the season and had 23 more points than second place is just remarkable. The other reason we like McDavid to have an impact today is because the Oilers will be facing the Canucks. McDavid has torched this team all season. In nine head to head games against Vancouver, he had 21 points. That alone is an average of 2.33 points per game. He also had six multi-point games against this Vancouver team, so that is what we will be backing here.

Alex Ovechkin Over 3.5 Shots on Goal (-120)

The playoffs will officially get underway with a matchup between the Washington Capitals and Boston Bruins. There teams are obviously familiar with one another and we should be in store for a great series and certainly a great game one. Tonight we are going to back one of the more obvious playmakers for Washington and that is Alex Ovechkin. He is leading this team in shots on goal with 182 on the season. That averages out to about 4.04 shots on goal per game. Then there is the fact that Ovechkin has 40 shots on goal this season in eight games against Boston. He is averaging five shots per game against the Bruins, which is why we like him here tonight to at least have four shots on frame.

Be sure to check out our full game preview for Boston Bruins vs. Washington Capitals.
