After only a two-game slate on Wednesday, we are in store for a massive 10-game schedule on Thursday. The action starts at 7:00 p.m. ET. Here we are going to focus on the player props and will be looking for guys to step up for their teams. Make sure you also check out our picks on the side and total for every game as well.

Jeff Petry Over 0.5 Points (-118)

The Montreal Canadiens will get set to host the Edmonton Oilers on Thursday and we are going to be looking for a defender to get involved in the offense. That being Jeff Petry, who has more than made his presence know for this Montreal team. Petry has a total of 14 points this season, which ranks tied for 17th in the NHL. Maybe this does not sound like much compared to the rest of the league, however, this is the second best mark by a defender. Not only does Petry have eight assists, but he also has scored six times. He has had at least one point in seven of the 11 games Montreal has played and we like him to get involved here as well. Especially because Edmonton has proven to have a leaky defense at times this season, so Montreal is likely going to have plenty of chances to score.

Quinn Hughes Over 0.5 Assists (-108)

The Vancouver Canucks are not a great team, but we are backing one of their defenders tonight to help his team find the back of the net. This player being Quinn Hughes. He is third in the NHL with 16 assists, only trailing Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl. Considering he is a defender, Hughes does not score much, just one goal to show for this season. Hughes has had at least one assist in 10 of Vancouver’s 16 games played this season. This also includes four games in a row, therefore we like Hughes to grab another one here.

Mark Stone Over 0.5 Assists (-114)

As long as Mark Stone continues to cash props for us, we are going to continue to look his way. Stone comes into this game with 15 points on the season in 10 games. Our main focus will be his assists, which sit at 12, while he has also scored three times. We know that Vegas has a lethal offense, so almost any night, they could score upwards of four or five goals. Obviously, the more they score, they more likely that Stone is going to assist one of these goals. He now has had at least one assist in nine of Vegas’ 10 games this year. That includes an assist in the last four games in a row. If we continue to get generous prices on this assist prop, we are going to keep taking them until their is an adjustment.
