We’ve got a nine-game slate for Thursday’s NHL card, and that means there are plenty of opportunities for value. Right now, we’re going to be focusing on player props, bringing you a few of our favorite props. Before you bet these, make sure you also check out our picks on the side and total for every game.

Brady Tkachuk Over 3.5 Shots on Goal (-120)

Both Montreal and Ottawa are coming off Covid pauses, which should make this a somewhat entertaining game. Though the Canadiens pause was much longer, meaning they could be more well rested and therefore sharper. The Senators are not even a good team to begin with, but we are still expecting a solid effort from Brady Tkachuck at the very least. Even after a few games off, Tkachuk leads the NHL with 150 shots on goal. He is averaging 4.16 shots on goal per game. In four games against this Canadiens team, Tkachuk is averaging 4.25 shots on goal and we like him to do the same on a night where we believe goals could be hard to come by.

Victor Hedman Over 2.5 Shots on Goal (-120)

The Lightning are no doubt going to be a playoff team this season. They have lost a few games in a row, including a 3-1 loss to Columbus in their most recent game. We believe that changes tonight and will expect Tampa Bay to bounce back in a big way. Here we are going to focus on Victor Hedman, who is one of if not the best defenseman in the NHL. But instead of just back a point prop, we are going to look for him to put some shots on goal. Hedman is leading his team with 92 shots on goal. That is an average of 2.6 shots on goal per game. Considering he just put 10 shots on goal against the Blue Jackets in the most recent game, we like him to have at least three here.

T.J. Oshie Over 0.5 Points (+102)

The Washington Capitals ended their three-game winning streak with a loss to the New York Rangers the last time out. They will look to keep pace in the East Division with a win tonight against the New York Islanders. Of course, guys like Alex Ovechkin are crucial to this Washington team, however, we are going with T.J. Oshie to contribute tonight. He has 25 points on the season, which is only fourth on the team, but he has five points over the last three games. Given his recent success and the fact we are getting plus money, backing Oshie to have a point will be our play.
