We’ve got a five-game slate for Wednesday’s NHL card, and that means there are a few opportunities for value. Right now, we’re going to be focusing on player props, bringing you a few of our favorite props. Before you bet these, make sure you also check out our picks on the side and total for every game.

Sidney Crosby Over 2.5 Shots on Goal (-150)

The Pittsburgh Penguins are coming off three hard fought games against New Jersey, two of which they lost. After a small two-day rest, the Penguins are likely going to be able to get back on track on Wednesday night. Here we are going to back Sidney Crosby, not to gather any points, but to just shoot. He is second on Pittsburgh with 94 shots on goal. This averages out to about three shots on goal per game. Over his last five games, Crosby is averaging 4.6 shots on goal per game and has cashed this prop in all five of those games. With a terrible Buffalo defense tonight, we expect Crosby to rattle the Sabres’ goalie.

Be sure to check out our full game preview for Buffalo Sabres vs. Pittsburgh Penguins.

Dustin Brown Over 2.5 Shots on Goal (-115)

Going back to the Los Angeles Kings tonight, but not the normal Anze Kopitar prop. Instead, we will be looking for Dustin Brown to put some shots on frame. Brown does lead the Kings with 14 goals this season, so there is a good chance he will be shooting often tonight. He is tied for second on the Kings with 80 shots on goal. That averages out to 2.75 shots on goal per game. Over his last five games, Brown is averaging 3.6 shots on goal and has cashed this prop in all five games as well. The Kings are coming off a loss to the Sharks, so they will likely be out for revenge. As a result, backing Brown shots on goal prop to go over will be our play.

Be sure to check out our full game preview for Los Angeles Kings vs. San Jose Sharks.

Nikolaj Ehlers Over 2.5 Shots (-150)

Going back to Nikolaj Ehlers and the Winnipeg Jets once again as they get set to play the Vancouver Canucks. Ehlers has been lacking a bit in the points department recently, which is why we will be looking for a shots on goal prop. Ehlers does lead the team with 103 shots on goal, which averages to 3.21 shots on goal per game. Over his last six games, Ehlers has cashed this prop four times and is averaging 3.67 shots on goal per game during this stretch. More impressively, Ehlers has cashed this prop in five of the six meetings with the Canucks. He is averaging 3.16 shots on goal against Vancouver, therefore, backing his over prop will be our play.
