Best player props for Monday's NHL slate: Stone and Kyrou primed for big nights

Sep 10, 2020; Edmonton, Alberta, CAN; Vegas Golden Knights right wing Mark Stone (61) screens Dallas Stars goaltender Anton Khudobin (35) during the second period in game three of the Western Conference Final of the 2020 Stanley Cup Playoffs at Rogers Place.

What better way to start off the week than with some NHL betting? Specifically, player props. I have a pair of props in mind for tonight’s slate, and I will share those here. I am 10-2 in my last 12, so the hope is that these plays keep it rolling. Along with these props, be sure to check out our full game previews for all 6 matchups tonight. Mark Stone over 0.5 points (-144)

Line available at FanDuel at time of publishing

Mark Stone has played 4 games since returning from a lower-body injury, and he has tallied 3 assists. Vegas is still playing without some key contributors, so Stone’s return is a big one. Even with other top players out of the lineup, Stone can get this Vegas offense going. He is an elite passer with great vision on the ice, and he had 61 points in 55 games last season. Tonight Stone and the Golden Knights take on the Blues, and they are a team in which Stone has seen a ton of success against throughout this career.

In 20 career games against St. Louis, Stone has tallied 21 points (7 goals, 14 assists). The Blues are in a bit of a slump, as they have dropped 5 of their last 6 games. They have allowed 3.33 goals per game over that stretch, and even with Jordan Binnington in net, look for Vegas to pot a few goals. The St. Louis net minder is 0-3-1 with a 3.78 GAA in his last 4 starts. In what could be a high-scoring contest, look for Stone to find the score sheet tonight.

Jordan Kyrou over 0.5 points (-110)

Line available at FanDuel at time of publishing

Staying in the same game, the second prop worth considering tonight is Jordan Kyrou over 0.5 points. Kyrou is having a strong season thus far, registering 18 points (8 goals, 10 assists) through 17 games. He is also in a bit of a groove with goals in 3 of his last 4 contests. Vegas goaltender Robin Lehner has allowed 10 goals over his last 3 starts, so the St. Louis offense should be looking to attack early and often. Kyrou patrols the Blues’ top line alongside Ryan O’Reilly and David Perron, and the 3 of them are capable of doing some damage. The Blues defeated the Golden Knights by a score of 3-1 on October 20, and Kyrou recorded an assist in that game. Look for him to find the score sheet again in this one.
