The 2022 college football regular season has drawn to a close and what a season it was. Bowl season is now in full swing, so we should have more great action in store over the next few weeks.

The postseason festivities continue on Tuesday with a number of intriguing matchups featuring Power 5 and Group of 5 teams alike. Let’s take a look at our three-team mega parlay for Tuesday’s bowl games.

Georgia Southern -4 (-110)

Memphis -7 (+100)

East Carolina team total over 36.5 (-120)

Parlay odds: +612

For this 3-team parlay we are going with 2 favorites against the spread and 1 team total over. Let’s break down each of the 3.

Camellia Bowl: Georgia Southern Eagles -4 (-110) over Buffalo Bulls

The angle for this game is simple: Kyle Vantrease should be looking to show out against his former team in a rare revenge spot. Vantrease was the longtime quarterback for the Bulls before transferring to Georgia Southern last summer. Vantrease has been a massive reason why the Eagles offense has blossomed in 2022, ranking inside the top 40 in passing success rate, rush success rate and both EPA per pass and EPA per rush. Gone are the days of the triple option and this program seems to be better for it so far. On the other side, the Bulls absolutely outperformed expectations this year, but some of their results were a bit flukey. This is still an offense that is 113th in Early Downs EPA per College Football Data and a defense that’s outside the top 100 in points per quality possession. I think the Eagles win by at least a touchdown.

First Responder Bowl: Memphis Tigers -7 (+100) over Utah State Aggies

Memphis should be favored by at least 10 points for this matchup. Yes, the Aggies picked themselves up and finished the season strong after starting off the year 1-4. However, each of Utah State’s defeats came by 10 or more points in the regular season. This is a defensive unit that has allowed at least 28 points in all but 1 of their last 5 games, including 31+ in each of their last 3. On the other hand, Memphis played a much tougher schedule this season and still finished with considerably stronger metrics than Utah State. Leading the way for one of the nation’s most prolific passing attacks, Seth Henigan and the Tigers threw for nearly 280 yards per game this season and were a top 40 passing offense.

Memphis plays with great pace and can score a ton of points, as the Tigers were held to less than 26 points just twice all year and put up 35+ in 5 separate outings. Now going up against a Utah State defense that can hardly stop anybody, this Tigers group should generate plenty of quality possessions. On the other side, the Aggies run the ball well, but defending the run is the best aspect of this Memphis defense, ranking 22nd in opponent EPA per rush. Memphis has covered in 3 straight outings while Utah State went 1-5 ATS in games away from Logan, Utah this season. Look for a double-digit win for the Tigers here.

Birmingham Bowl: East Carolina Pirates team total over 36.5 (-120)

In another game that should feature plenty of offense, I think East Carolina’s offense is poised for a massive day. This is the most consistent this Pirates offense has been with quarterback Holton Ahlers at the helm, and he’ll be facing a Coastal Carolina defense that can’t stop a nosebleed. This Chanticleers defensive unit is well outside the top 100 in EPA per pass and net points per drive, along with sitting at an ugly 95th in success rate. That’s not encouraging against East Carolina’s explosive top 30 passing offense and top 20 ground attack. I expect a ton of possessions in this game, as East Carolina’s defense has some holes of its own that should be exploited by Grayson McCall. With that in mind, it’s hard not to like East Carolina to exceed their team total at this current number.
