It is an absolutely huge day in the sports world. College basketball conference tournaments are in full flight, the NBA is back from the all-star break and delivering its first full day of games in the proverbial second half of the season, and there 10 games on the NHL slate.

Let’s take a look at where the public money has gone so far when it comes to tonight’s action.

NBA: Charlotte Hornets ML over Detroit Pistons

Per Draft Kings, bettors are all over the Charlotte Hornets as they prepare to visit the Detroit Pistons on Thursday. A whopping 94 percent of the money and 90 percent of the bets are coming in on Charlotte’s money line (-180). Bettors are happy to give the 4.5 points, as well, with 93 percent of the handle and 87 percent of the wagers backing the Hornets.

NBA: Sacramento Kings -4.5 over Houston Rockets

Punters are also hammering the Sacramento Kings in their game against the visiting Houston Rockets. With 84 percent of the bets coming in on Sacramento -4.5, 93 percent of the money is going in that direction. As for the money line (Kings -180), 87 percent of the handle and 82 percent of the wagers are on the home team.

NHL: Pittsburgh Penguins ML over Buffalo Sabres

One of bettors’ favorite NHL plays of the day is the Pittsburgh Penguins against the Buffalo Sabdres. An overwhelming 92 percent of the handle and 94 percent of the bets are coming in on Pittsburgh’s money line (-210). They also love the puck line, with 94 percent of the money and 90 percent of the wagers backing the Penguins to win straight up.

NHL: Tampa Bay Lightning -1.5 over Detroit Red Wings

In the eyes of the public, the next-best play is on the Tampa Bay Lightning against the Detroit Red Wings. The money line (-335) is massively skewed in Tampa Bay’s favor. Nonetheless, 91 percent of the ML handle and 94 percent of the bets are tipping the Penguins to win straight up. Of course, the -1.5 PL has better value. That line isn’t scaring any punters; 86 percent of the money and 77 percent of the wagers have the Bolts winning by multiple goals.

NCAAB: USC Trojans ML over Utah Utes

A ton of college basketball games took place earlier in the afternoon, but there is still plenty of action on offer at night. Bettors are eager to wrap up the day in style with a USC victory over Utah. A total of 95 percent of the handle and 90 percent of the wagers are backing USC on the money line. There is more disagreement on the -7.5 line, with the Trojans getting 69 percent of the money to cover while the Utes are getting 57 percent of the bets to keep the contest within seven points.
