We have put together a 4-pick cross-sport parlay that will take you right through Friday, including action from college basketball and the NHL.

Two picks are taken from each sport and a winning ticket would give us a nice payout with odds at +993 with DraftKings Sportsbook. Let’s break down each of these plays.

College Basketball: Richmond Spiders +2.5 (-110) vs VCU Rams, 7:00 pm ET

Richmond has one of the most balanced offenses in the country, averaging 73.5 points per game, with 3 different players averaging 12 or more points per game, and they share the ball around, ranking 36th nationally with 15.8 assists per game.

VCU has some of the worst ball-security in the nation, averaging 15.25 turnovers per game, which ranks 330th. Expect the Spiders to shoot much better in this matchup and force a similar number of turnovers, which should make the difference. Take the Spiders.

NHL: Nashville Predators vs Carolina Hurricanes ML (-175), 7:08 pm ET

Offensively, the advantage goes to the Hurricanes. They are among the best teams when it comes to applying pressure, ranking 2nd in expected goals, whereas the Predators are 21st. When it comes to the actual offensive production, the gap isn’t as wide as the Hurricanes rank 6th in goals per game and the Predators are 14th.

Defensively, the Hurricanes are 1st in goals against per game, thanks to their goaltending. Projected starter for the Predators, Juuse Saros, ranks 4th in goals saved above expected, while the Hurricane’ projected starter, Frederik Andersen, is 2nd. With 2 top goalies in net, lean on the team with the better attack and take the Hurricanes.

College Basketball: Maryland Terrapins -2 (-110) vs Nebraska Cornhuskers, 9:00 pm ET

Nebraska has just 1 victory in Big Ten play this season. That came against Minnesota on February 9, snapping a 12-game losing streak against the conference. For better or worse Nebraska likes to play fast. They are last in the Big Ten on offense and second to last on defense. I like Maryland’s backcourt and with such a small number it will be hard for them to win and not cover. If they can play even 80% as well as they did in their last game at Purdue, this should be an easy win. Take Maryland.

NHL: Los Angeles Kings vs Vegas Golden Knights – Over 6 goals (-110), 10:08 pm ET

The first time these teams met this season, we saw 8 goals in a Kings win. Their second game brought 9 goals in a Golden Knights win. There’s no good reason not to expect a 3rd high-scoring game between them tonight.

Vegas is coming off a game in which they were shut out, so expect their offense to come out in this game determined to fill the net. That is possible against a Kings team giving up 2.63 goals per game. With goaltending injury issues for Vegas, the door will be open for Los Angeles to add to the total as well. Take the over.
