We have put together a 4-pick cross-sport parlay that will take you right through Wednesday, including picks from the MLB and MLS. Two picks are taken from each sport and a winning ticket would give us a nice payout with odds of +975 at DraftKings Sportsbook.

Let’s break down each of these plays.

MLB: Tampa Bay Rays ML (+115) over New York Yankees, 7:05 pm ET

The projected starters are right-hander Corey Kluber for the Rays and right-hander Domingo German for the Yankees. Kluber is 7-7 in 22 starts with an ERA of 4.40. Even though Kluber has had a difficult August, he has pitched well against the Yankees.  In his 2 starts against them this year, he has pitched at least 6 innings in both outings, allowing 7 hits and 1 earned run total.

German was just called up to the Yankees in late July due to injuries and is 1-2 in 5 starts with an ERA of 4.18. After a terrible July, where he ended with an ERA of 8.22, he has settled in with an ERA of 2.25 in the month of August. However, all offense has been abandoned in the Bronx, as the Yankees rank in the bottom 5 in most major offensive stats in the last 15 days. Nothing about how the Yankees are playing right now should give you confidence in them, so for that reason backing the Rays to win will be the play.

MLB: Boston Red Sox ML (-150) over Pittsburgh Pirates, 7:05 pm ET

The Pirates will start Roansy Contreras, who hasn’t seen the mound since the beginning of July. In his previous start he gave up 7 runs in just 1.2 innings in what was ultimately a 19-2 loss to the Brewers.

The Red Sox will counter with Rich Hill, and while it has been easy to pick on him this season, the Pirates are not a team that hits lefties well. The last time Hill pitched against a lineup that hit lefties poorly was when he faced the Cleveland Guardians (2nd-worst). That was a start where he held them to a single run in a convincing Red Sox win. For that reason, backing Hill to once again put together a good outing makes backing Boston worth a play on Wednesday night.

MLS: New York Red Bulls vs Atlanta United FC – Over 2.5 goals (-125), 7:30 pm ET

Atlanta United returns home, where it has only lost 2 games so far in the campaign. The Five Stripes have the 5th best home record in the Eastern Conference, but finding the back of the net hasn’t been an issue – as they have netted 22 goals in 12 home matches. As for the Red Bulls, registering goals on the road is no concern, as they have scored 20 times away from home. With neither team having issues scoring this season, backing the over 2.5 goals will be the play for this match.

MLS: Charlotte FC vs New York City FC – Both teams to score (-150), 8:00 pm ET

Wednesday evening will see New York City FC host Charlotte FC at Red Bull arena. These sides have never met, which could set an interesting match under the circumstances both clubs are facing. Charlotte has not registered a goal in 2 straight away matches, but in this fixture I think the club can squeak one past this NYCFC backend. New York has yet to give up a goal during their home match away from Yankee Stadium this season, and with a midweek clash you can expect both clubs to struggle with fatigued legs. Tired legs usually lead to more goal-scoring opportunities, so for that reason, betting both teams to score in this fixture will be the play on Wednesday night.
