Pickswise was nice enough to give me the opportunity to write my plays up for you all. For those of you who don’t know me, they refer to me as JutPicks on Twitter. I post all my plays with brief writeups every day. Now I get to write even more with no character limit!

I pride myself on being as transparent as they come. My NBA record from last season and this season are listed in my bio alongside my MLB record. Without further ado, let’s dive into my favorite plays for Tuesday.

Check out our picks for all of tonight’s NBA games!

Patrick Beverley (MIN) under 18.5 points + rebounds + assists (-113)

Line available at FanDuel Sportsbook at time of publishing. Playable for .5units at 17.5

We love playing unders here, and this will be a sweaty one. Beverley is under 18.5 PRA in 59% of games but over 17.5 PRA in 61% of games. Yes, 17.5 is still an option for half a unit, but there is a considerable discrepancy between the two lines.

This play is very similar to my Marcus Smart under that I posted on Sunday morning. Beverley gets the same matchup in the Washington Wizards as Smart did and is in a similar situation. Beverley is the 4th-5th scoring option behind young studs Karl-Anthony Towns, Anthony Edwards, and D’Angelo Russell. Most of Beverley’s production on the offensive end comes from the 3-point line and banks on guards Edwards and Russell to create open looks for him. Washington allows the 2nd fewest made three’s per game and ranks in the top 10 in points allowed to the point-guard position.

12.5 points favor the Minnesota Timberwolves against the Washington Wizards tonight. The Wizards have nothing to play for and could be down big like they were against the Celtics on Sunday, limiting Beverley’s minutes. Beverley is already dealing with an ankle injury, so look for Minnesota to modify his playing time and insert Malik Beasley more frequently.

Jrue Holiday (MIL) over 18.5 points (-116)

Line available at FanDuel Sportsbook at time of publishing.

Jrue Holiday continues to be one of the best two-way players in the league. He does not back down from guarding the opponent’s best perimeter player and then shows out on the offensive end. The 14-year veteran averages 18.7 points per game and shoots 50% from the field.

He gets a familiar foe tonight in the Chicago Bulls. Both teams are fighting for playoff positioning in the grueling Eastern Conference. 5 points favor the Milwaukee Bucks, so expect Holiday to play around 35+ minutes. In his last 5 games, Holiday is averaging upwards of 37 minutes and is over this line in 4 of those games, with the one miss being 18 versus the Philadelphia 76ers.

The Chicago Bulls have had difficulties defending point-guards like Holiday all season long. They allow the 2nd most points to the position, and within the last week, we’ve seen Kyle Lowry, Gabe Vincent, Reggie Jackson, Darius Garland, and Devonte’ Graham smash their season averages.

Holiday is over this line in 2 of 3 matchups versus the Bulls this season which includes scoring 26 and 27 points in 2 games in March. I expect Chicago to pack it in the paint to limit Giannis Antetokounmpo production, which will work in Holiday’s favor.
