The MLB season is officially underway and we have another great slate on Monday with a bunch of interesting matchups. And what better way to celebrate the new campaign than by going for a big payday? That’s right, we’re back with another mega parlay.

We’re going big and bold again, so let’s not waste any more time. But before we dive in, don’t forget to check out our free picks on the side and total for every MLB game today.

Oakland A’s ML (+180)

New York Mets ML (+130)

Los Angeles Angels -1.5 (+134)

Parlay odds: +1406

Let’s break down each of the legs one by one.

Oakland A’s ML (+180) over Tampa Bay Rays

To start this mega parlay we have Oakland on the money line. Yes, the A’s are cheapskates and yes, they traded away Matt Olson to avoid paying him, but that doesn’t mean they’re going to be terrible. This is still a team that was 10 games above .500 last season, and they’re getting priced like a bottom-feeder. I’m not quite as gung-ho about the Rays as everyone else, and it’s not like they have a huge pitching advantage.

Tampa starter Luis Patino is still only 22, and he was shaky last year. In 94 and 2/3 big-league innings, Patino has walked 43 batters. Getting almost 2/1 to fade a guy that young is too good to pass up. Oakland picked up a 4-1 win over Philly on Sunday, giving them some momentum entering this one. The Rays looked pretty good in their opening series but it was against the Orioles, so that’s not saying much.

New York Mets ML (+130) over Philadelphia Phillies

Give me the Mets for our next parlay leg. New York finally dropped a game on Sunday, but they had looked great right before that. The Mets had won their previous 3 games over the Nationals by a combined score of 17-4. Philly’s offense is coming off a game in which they put up only three hits, and Bryce Harper is 1/11 to start the year. The Phillies will start Ranger Suarez, and his numbers from last year are deceptive.

Last season his starts down the stretch came against all the weakest teams in the league, and before that he had just been a middle relief option. Taijuan Walker fell apart at the end of last season, but don’t forget that his first few months were amazing. And in 5 starts against the Phillies last year, Walker had a WHIP of below 1.00.

Los Angeles Angels -1.5 (+134) over Miami Marlins

To wrap up this mega parlay and hopefully bring us home, we’ve got the Angels on the run line. Don’t get me wrong, Los Angeles has been a disappointment so far. Stop me if you’ve heard that one before. But the Angels should snap out of it here and this is a good spot to buy low. To be fair to them, they did get the unenviable task of having their first series against the Astros. It’s fair to say this is a pretty big step down in competition to face the Marlins.

Miami put up only 2 runs on Sunday and also scored only 2 on Saturday. So Angels starter Michael Lorenzen should be just fine. And Los Angeles’ much-hyped lineup should be able to get on track against Elieser Hernandez. In 70 career big-league appearances, Hernandez has a 4.67 ERA.
