We are beginning a new week in Major League Baseball with a small 6-game slate on Monday. More than half of the teams are traveling in between series, but nonetheless, we have more than enough to work with when it comes to hopefully forming a victorious mega parlay. Arizona and Cincinnati are getting things started at 6:40 pm ET and that contest is included in this trio.

We cashed Saturday’s mega parlay at +940, so let’s keep the momentum going!

Arizona Diamondbacks ML (+105)

Houston Astros -1.5 (+120)

Toronto Blue Jays -1.5 (-110)

Parlay odds: +761

For this parlay we are going with one underdog on the money line and two favorites on the run line. Let’s break down each of the three legs one by one.

Arizona Diamondbacks ML over Cincinnati Reds (+105)

Cincinnati beat Washington on Thursday but then lost 3 straight over the weekend against the Nationals. The Reds scored 4 runs in each of those losses, but their issue is on the mound – where they are 30th in the majors in ERA at 5.44. Joey Votto hit a couple of homers against the Nationals, but he is still hitting under .200 for the season. Unheralded second baseman Kyle Farmer is leading the team in RBIs. This team is all over the place.

Veteran lefty Madison Bumgarner gets the start for the Diamondbacks on Monday. Now in his 3rd season with Arizona, he is pitching the best he has with the club ( 3.31 ERA). Meanwhile, Hunter Greene has just a couple of wins in his debut season for Cincy. With 64 strikeouts in 48.0 innings, there is definitely something there, but he walks too many and is a little too easy to hit when he is forced to come into the zone. Cincinnati has only been a favorite 12 times this season and is 4-8 in those games. This will be the first time the Reds are favorites with Greene on the hill and they are a poor 2-8 when he starts. Take the value with the Diamondbacks.

Houston Astros -1.5 over Seattle Mariners (+120)

Following a rather shocking upset by the Royals on Saturday, the Astros were able to bounce back on Sunday to win the series. It will be a short turnaround to take on a divisional foe, but they will at least be heading home. The Mariners will also be on the same rest schedule on the heels of a hard-fought series against the Rangers over the weekend. It’s a lot of divisional games for the AL West, but it’s the Astros with a firm grip on the lead. They should be able to extend that advantage and create even more of a cushion between them and the struggling Angels.

A team as hot as Houston at home is only getting a reasonable price on the money line due to Robbie Ray being on the mound for Seattle. Although the M’s acquired him this offseason to be the ace, he hasn’t quite lived up to the title. He certainly has not been an ace. Ray has an ERA approaching 5.00 and has allowed 3 or more runs in 4 of his last 5 starts. Seattle has a weak bullpen, too. Take Houston on the run line.

Toronto Blue Jays -1.5 over Kansas City Royals (-110)

It wasn’t the best weekend for the Blue Jays after losing 2 of 3 to the Twins as rather large favorites, but they have still been playing well overall lately. They had an 8-game winning streak heading into that series with Minnesota, and the Royals provide a great opportunity to start a new one. Despite surprisingly taking a game from the Astros over the weekend, Kansas City still has the worst record in the league. The Royals are just 9-16 at home this season, while the Blue Jays have won their last 5 road games.

Toronto has played good baseball recently, largely due to its lineup performing as well as expected all season. That’s even worse news for the Royals, as they are sending lefty Daniel Lynch to the mound. Lynch allowed 6 runs on of 9 hits in his last start and has surrendered 12 runs and 21 hits in his last 3 starts combined. While they aren’t quite to their 2021 status just yet, the Jays finished last season as the absolute best team in the league against left-handed pitching.
