The 2022 MLB season has resumed after the all-star break, and we have another exciting slate of games to watch on Friday. One of the matchups features the New York Yankees and Baltimore Orioles, starting at 7:05 pm ET on ESPN+. The Yankees will be looking to bounce back after dropping both games of a Thursday doubleheader against the Astros.

What better way to celebrate this matchup than by betting a same game parlay? We have come up with a 2-leg parlay, which would pay out at over 4/1 odds with FanDuel Sportsbook. Let’s take a look at each of the legs.

Orioles ML (+134)

Aaron Judge to record 2+ total bases (-125)

Parlay odds: +428

New York Yankees vs Baltimore Orioles: Start time and how to watch

The Yankees and Orioles start their series with a start time of 7:05 pm ET on Friday. The game is airing exclusively on ESPN+. Let’s get into our same game parlay for this AL East matchup.

Baltimore Orioles ML (+134) over New York Yankees

To start off this same game parlay, we have the Orioles on the money line. Baltimore was playing stellar baseball heading into the break, winning 8 of its last 10 games. But what was most impressive is they are getting it done on both sides of the ball. Baltimore’s starting pitching has been reliable, while the Orioles continue to have one of the best bullpens in baseball. And at the dish, the likes of Austin Hays, Cedric Mullins and Trey Mancini are all producing. Tyler Wells gets the start on Friday, and he has been rock solid in recent months, allowing just 16 runs over his last 10 starts. The O’s should be well rested and ready to roll against a division rival.

On the other side, the Yankees have been mired in a slump of late, losing 7 of their last 10. Furthermore, this is a terrible scheduling spot for New York. The Yankees just had to play a day-night doubleheader against the Astros, and they’ll have less than 24 hours to travel and play Baltimore at Camden Yards. Jameson Taillon has been solid this season, but a number of his advanced metrics predict that regression is coming. While the Yankees are the better team, Wells and the Orioles are a little undervalued at home in this spot. At this price, I don’t mind taking a shot on a well-rested Baltimore side.

Aaron Judge to record 2+ total bases (-125)

Pairing together results that may not correlate always increases your odds in a same game parlay. However, I don’t think that Aaron Judge having success conflicts with an Orioles victory. Judge has been on a tear since the 2022 season started, and he continues to march toward his first MVP trophy. The outfielder has 8 hits in his last 8 outings, which is poor by his lofty standards. However, Judge has recorded 2 or more total bases in 3 of his last 4 starts, and I expect that to continue.

Judge should see success against Wells, as he is 4-of-11 lifetime off the O’s starter. And even if the righty is set down early, New York’s best power bat should see multiple plate appearances against other arms out of the Baltimore bullpen. At this price, I like backing one of the best hitters in baseball to have another solid day at the dish.
