The World Series shifts to Arizona as the Rangers prepare to take on the Diamondbacks with the series tied at 1-1. It took 11 innings to decide Game 1 before the Snakes bit back in Game 2. So, what does Game 3 have in store? Well, if you’re looking for a quickfire bet, then one of the shortest ones you can make is whether or not a run will be scored in the first inning. There can usually be a lot of value in these bets and it only takes around 15 minutes to find out if your bet is a winner or a loser. We’ve seen the YRFI hit in Game 1 before the NRFI cashed in Game 2, so let’s dive into our best bet for tonight’s game.

Texas Rangers vs Arizona Diamondbacks: NRFI (-110)

Available at FanDuel Sportsbook at time of publishing.

It is Game 3, but there is no shortage of pitching quality as the Rangers’ Max Scherzer prepares to toe the rubber while the Diamondbacks will send Brandon Pfaadt to the hill. Scherzer will be making his third start since September 24 and although he allowed a run in the first inning in Game 7 against the Astros, I’m expecting him to be sharper tonight in the World Series. He secured the NRFI in his return and has proved time and again that he is one of the best pitchers around in high-pressure situations. The D-Backs are yet to score a run in the first inning in the World Series, and I expect that to continue.

Pfaadt has also proved that the big stage doesn’t faze him and has not allowed a first-inning run in any of his last 3 starts. He tallied 7 strikeouts in just 4 innings in Game 7 against the Phillies in the NLCS and given that the Rangers struggled mightily to get any offense going in Game 2, I can see that bleeding into Game 3. These pitchers have awesome pedigrees and I think we’re getting great value on the NRFI at -110 odds.
