MLB Monday three-leg mega parlay (+942 odds): Hernandez Ks Yankees

Carlos Hernandez MLB parlay

I know what you’re thinking — there are only 5 games on the MLB slate today so today sucks. I get it but you need to snap out of it. First of all, it wasn’t long ago that we had no games. None. Like you turned on the television and there wasn’t any sports. Not even soccer. You need to be thankful that we have games. You also need to realize that 5 games is plenty to throw together an MLB parlay. I only needed 3 to get me a fat, juicy +942 monster. Sure I needed some alt lines but that’s whatever. The point is, it’s Monday and we’re gambling. Here’s my MLB parlay for tonight.

If this MLB parlay hits, it will go down as a great day in gambling history. But don’t forget, we’ve also got picks on the side and total for all of today’s games. You can also follow me on Twitter just in case there’s a game or 2 added to the card. Be smart about this people.

Carlos Hernandez over 4.5 strikeouts (-110)

Milwaukee Brewers -2.5 (+125) *alt line

Chicago White Sox vs Minnesota Twins over 11 (+140) *alt line

Parlay odds: +942

Carlos Hernandez over 4.5 strikeouts (-110)

The New York Yankees aren’t the smash spot for whiffs I thought they would be after getting Joey Gallo but they are good enough here. Over the last 210 at-bats, they’ve only struck out 45 times which isn’t bad. It was so not bad that I thought there must be something up. Like maybe MLB got the numbers wrong or something. I was kind of right. MLB got the stats right but when you look at who they were facing, it all makes sense.

They had the ghost of Matt Harvey last Wednesday. Tyler Anderson on Thursday. Marco Gonzales Friday and Chris Flexen on Saturday. That’s like the opposite of a Murderers’ Row for strikeout guys. Two of them even got home on 4.5 so there’s that too. Carlos Hernandez isn’t exactly a K-guy but in his last start, he threw 90+ pitches and whiffed 6 White Sox players. This is the perfect start to our MLB parlay.

I like Alec Mills. You could even say I’m an Alec Mills guy. With that being said, I give him a zero percent chance of keeping the Milwaukee Brewers off the scoreboard tonight. It’s “get right” time for the Brew Crew and I think it will come at Mills’ expense. In his last 2 starts at Wrigley Field, the Cubs lost by at least 3 runs in both and one of those games was to the Arizona Diamondbacks who happen to be the worst team in baseball (maybe in the history of the sport).

Freddy Peralta will be on the hill for Milwaukee and he should feast on the weakest Cubs’ lineup in years. Over their last 209 at-bats, they’ve struck out a staggering 74 times. They’re batting .230 in that span with a .597 OPS. The Brewers should roll the Cubs tonight and keep our MLB parlay intact.

Chicago White Sox vs Minnesota Twins over 11 (+140) *alt line

I get that Lucas Giolito is pitching for the White Sox but he’s very capable of giving up a few runs to help us out here. The last time he pitched against the Twins the final score was 7-6. Minnesota just took 3 out of 4 from the Houston Astros and hung 7 runs on the board Sunday so they aren’t hapless. All we need is 4 or 5 from the Twins because they are sending Beau Burrows to the hill which is bad news for under guys. Burrows is one of the most generous pitchers to ever hold a baseball. He’s given up 11 earned runs in only 9 innings pitched across 5 appearances so far this season. When he’s done, we’ll see a Minnesota bullpen that’s given up 10 home runs in their last 54 innings of work. This could be a bomb show and if it is, we cash our MLB parlay.
