A new month begins in the NBA and we have ourselves a TNT doubleheader. The Atlanta Hawks and Boston Celtics get us started at 7:30 pm ET, followed by the Dallas Mavericks and Los Angeles Lakers at 10 pm ET. I’ve prepared a same game parlay for both of those games, but my focus here is on the Hawks vs Celtics game.

Don’t forget to check our predictions on the side and total for the rest of Tuesday’s 6-game slate.

Let’s jump into it!

Boston Celtics 1-10 win margin (+170)

Trae Young to record 12+ assists (+300)

Robert Williams over 10.5 points (+104)

Parlay odds: +1938

Boston Celtics 1-10 win margin (+170)

Atlanta actually leads the regular-season series 2-1, but the good news for Celtics fans is that they’ve won the previous meeting played in Boston 105-95. I’m expecting another close game tonight and Boston playing at home should give them the edge here. They’ve beaten the Hawks in 6 of the last 7 meetings at TD Garden, plus against Southeast Division opponents they are 4-2 ATS in their last 6. They are also one of the best teams in the NBA over the past month or so of play with an 11-2 SU record. One of the main factors for that is their stellar play on defense, but also their ability to stay healthy during that stretch. They come into tonight’s game without any injuries to report, with 5 wins in their last 6 at home they should have this one in the bag.

Trae Young to record 12+ assists (+300)

Young had himself a game the last time he played at TD Garden as he finished with 30 points and 10 rebounds, however it wasn’t enough as the Hawks fell by 10 points in the end. In order for his team to have a better chance of winning he will have to do better than his 9-for-26 shooting in that game, and will have to convert some of those missed shots into assists tonight. Since the all-star break he’s had 10 and 11 assists in the 2 games he has played in and in February he has recorded double-digit assists in 8 of 11 games played. It won’t be easy against an elite Celtics defense tonight, but with Lou Williams being out I think that means extra minutes for Young and more opportunities to get some assists.

Robert Williams over 10.5 points (+104)

Williams is on a streak of 9 straight games of scoring double-digit points for the Celtics and for the month of February he averaged 11.1 per game. In 2 games against the Hawks this season he had 10 and 11 points, which is encouraging for our bet. Atlanta doesn’t really do a good job at defending the paint this season — they rank only 19th in opponent points in the paint, allowing 47.2 per game. On the road that number jumps up to 48.6 per game and in their last 3 games they’ve given up 50.7 per game. In case the three-point shot isn’t falling for some reason, I’m expecting the Celtics to get their big man involved here.
