Have we not already had enough of the NFC East in primetime games?!?! Although the answer to that is “yes,” the answer from the NFL schedule-makers is “no.” The New York Giants bring the woeful division back to television screens across the country when they host the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Monday Night Football in Week 8.

Hey, at least both teams are in playoff contention. Yes, both! The Bucs are off to a solid 5-2 start in the Tom Brady era and even at 1-6 the Giants have a realistic chance in the NFC East.

Still, this is not a contest that is going to send casual observers outside of Tampa Bay and New York scrambling for popcorn and the best seat on the couch. But if you want to spice up this MNF game and make it watchable, a same game parlay bet might be both a fun and profitable way to do it. Let’s take a look at the best such option for this matchup. You can also check out our full preview of the game, including picks on the side and total.

Giants +10.5 alternate spread (+100)

Daniel Jones under 224.5 passing yards (-115)

Wayne Gallman over 36.5 rushing yards (-110)

Wayne Gallman anytime touchdown scorer (+230)

Parlay odds: +1200

The value of same-game parlays, of course, is that all four components of it can be correlated if you so choose. That’s part the plan for this particularly play, as we feel good about the Giants being able to make this game at least somewhat respectable. That’s why we are teasing the spread down to +10.5 for what could be a low-scoring contest and calling a big game for new RB1 Wayne Gallman. Taking the under on passing yards for Daniel Jones does not necessarily correlate to New York success, but that helps drive up the value of the parlay and a big day for Jones shouldn’t be essential in the home team’s effort to keep it close.

Giants +10.5 alternate spread (+100)

It is going to be cold and windy in East Rutherford on Monday night. Sure, Brady is quite accustomed to such conditions; in general, however, that is not what Tampa Bay is all about. The Giants play in that kind of stuff all the time in the latter half of football seasons, so this nothing new for the home side. Even beyond the weather, though, there are reasons to like the underdog and the points (in this cased teased down to +10.5 from the standard +12.5 line). New York may be 1-6, but it has lost by more than 10 only once in 2020. Not even the Steelers, Rams, or Bears could win by more than that number. The Giants are going to feature a steady diet of Gallman to keep the clock moving and minimize Brady’s possessions. Even when Brady and company are on the field, a New York defense that has limited opponents to no more than 22 points in four of its last six games will not be daunted.

Daniel Jones under 224.5 passing yards (-115)

Similarly, the weather isn’t the only reason to expect that passing the ball will be difficult on Monday night. Tampa Bay ranks ninth in the league against the pass and it won’t have its hands full against Jones. The second-year quarterback out of Duke is averaging just 201.4 yards through the air per game and he has thrown more interceptions (seven) than touchdowns (five). Tampa Bay was also second in the NFL in sacks heading into Week 8, so head coach Joe Judge doesn’t want to see Jones dropping back to pass a whole bunch of times in this one.

Wayne Gallman over 36.5 rushing yards (-110)

In turn, this is going to be Gallman’s game. The Giants need to run, run, and run the ball some more. No, that it is not going to be easy against the Bucs defense; but it is something that has to be done. And in limited work this season, Gallman appears to be one guy who can do it. Over the past three games he has 21 carries for 103 yards. He also made five receptions on five targets and turned those into 20 yards against Philadelphia last week. With Devonta Freeman (ankle) sidelined, Gallman will be his team’s feature back from start to finish for the first time this year.

Wayne Gallman anytime touchdown scorer (+230)

Someone’s gotta score for the Giants, right? As mentioned above, Jones has only five TD passes through seven outings and there is no reason to think he is suddenly going to go off on the Bucs. Gallman found the endzone once against the Eagles in Week 7, and at +230 he is a good value pick to post another score here.
