Since I unfortunately never had LeBron James' jumping ability I wasn't able to make it to the NBA, and chose writing about sports as the next best thing. The NFL is probably the only sport in which consistently betting teasers might actually make you some money. Points are so valuable in the NFL that it often makes sense to tease a game if you can move a point spread through some key numbers. That’s what we’ll be talking about today.

The season is approaching the home stretch, and now we’re ready to turn our attention to this Week 13 card. After reading this article, be sure to check out our expert NFL picks for free picks on the side and total of every game this week. But first, let’s dive into my favorite Week 14 teaser as well as a Week 14 parlay. In last week’s version of this column, we hit the parlay at +377.

NFL Teaser Week 14 – 2-team, 6-point (-110)

Cincinnati Bengals +8 (from +2)

I’m not sure the Bengals should be a home underdog here. They lost one game to a talented Chargers team last week, but right before that had dominated the Steelers and Raiders. Against Los Angeles they just caught some unlucky breaks early on, and even battled back from a 24-0 deficit. San Francisco is extremely banged up in the secondary, and Josh Norman is going to be their top corner today. Good luck slowing down all of Cincy’s receivers. On the flip side, I’m not a Jimmy Garoppolo guy at all. He’s good for at least a couple of back-breaking mistakes per game right now. Most importantly, we’re going through the two most key numbers with this teaser, 3 and 7.

Los Angeles Rams +8.5 (from +2.5)

Again we’re hitting the two most key numbers in 3 and 7 by teasing the Rams up as a short ‘dog for Monday Night Football. The Cardinals have the best record in the league, but dig a bit deeper. They’ve played a really soft schedule lately, and the only recent playoff team they’ve played lately was the Packers. And they lost outright. Kyler Murray and DeAndre Hopkins both played in that one. I don’t see them beating the Rams by double digits, especially not after Los Angeles finally got their juice back last week in a dominant win. If you’re into trends, the underdog has also covered the spread in eight of the last nine Monday Night Football games.

Houston Texans ML (+310)

Hear me out here, but I’m on the Texans. The Seahawks cashed this parlay for us last week, but now I’m fading them. Seattle is still just 4-8, and shouldn’t be this large of a favorite on the road against just about anybody. Davis Mills is back under center for Houston, and that’s probably an upgrade considering how bad Tyrod Taylor has been recently. Mills’ first handful of starts didn’t go well, but he played an absolutely brutal schedule. His first three starts came against top-notch Panthers, Bills and Patriots defenses. I mean that’s just ridiculously tough. Now he’s getting to start in the best spot of his career, at home against a toxic and spiraling Seahawks team.

Cleveland Browns -2.5 (-122)

If you follow me on Twitter, you know I’m usually not a Baker Mayfield guy. But this week I love the Browns. It’s the perfect spot for Cleveland. They just played the Ravens in their most recent game, and then had a bye week. In essence they’ve had three consecutive weeks to prepare for this same Baltimore defense. On the other hand, the Ravens are coming off a physical slug-fest against the Steelers. Baltimore is beaten up, and their offense is a disaster right now. The defense isn’t as good as people think it is, and top cornerback Marlon Humphrey was just lost for the season in their most recent game.
