NFL Week 10 parlay at mega (+960) odds: Giant win over Houston

New York Giants running back Saquon Barkley (26) runs the ball against the Jacksonville Jaguars in the fourth quarter at TIAA Bank Field.

The first Sunday of the second half of the season brings an excellent slate of games. There are several key matchups happening around the league, and I have focused on 3 games that I believe make up a perfect mega parlay. It wouldn’t be a Sunday funday without a mega parlay, so let’s get right into it!

Here are the components:

New York Giants -4.5 (-110)

Las Vegas Raiders alternate line -6.5 (+113)

Minnesota Vikings ML (+155)

Parlay odds: +960

For this parlay we are going with 1 favorite against the spread, 1 favorite with an alternate spread and 1 underdog on the money line. Let’s break down each of the legs.

Odds available at FanDuel Sportsbook at time of publishing.

New York Giants -4.5 (-110) over Houston Texans

The Giants are rested and prepared to face the 1-win Texans after having a bye in Week 9. With a 6-2 record this season, New York has been one of the bigger surprises. While some of this success can be attributed to Daniel Jones’ growth, Saquon Barkley has played a significant role. He will get the opportunity to shine against a Texans defense that has given up the most rushing yards in the league. Houston has surrendered 219 yards and 2 touchdown runs to Derrick Henry and 143 yards and 3 scores to Josh Jacobs in the last 3 weeks alone. A weak Houston wide receiving corps should give New York the advantage on defense because the Giants’ secondary has allowed the 9th-fewest passing yards and 2nd-fewest passing completions. Barkley will likely lead the Giants to their 7th victory of the year and help them cover this spread.

Minnesota Vikings ML (+155) over Buffalo Bills

Josh Allen injured his UCL in last week’s loss to the Jets, and — coming from someone that has torn his UCL — it hurts. He was held out of practice this week and it’s an “hour-by-hour situation” heading into Sunday. If Allen is unable to suit up, it’s Case Keenum’s time to shine. Obviously Keenum is a massive step down from Allen. The chemistry that Allen has with his receivers is priceless and although the Vikings’ defense isn’t superb, their offense is elite. The combination of Justin Jefferson, Adam Thielen, Dalvin Cook and TJ Hockenson is hard to stop no matter how good the defense is. Last week, Jefferson, Thielen and Hockenson combined for 252 yards against an above-average Washington secondary. Minnesota has the chance to upset Buffalo and show that it is a real contender, and if Allen can’t play this game should be closer to a pick’em.

Las Vegas Raiders -6.5 (+113) over Indianapolis Colts

What is going on in Indianapolis? The Colts have benched their highest-paid player (quarterback Matt Ryan), fired offensive coordinator Marcus Brady and relieved Frank Reich of his coaching duties — all in the last 3 weeks. Jeff Saturday, a former player with no coaching experience, has taken Reich’s place. Saturday appears up to the challenge, but he is taking control of a sinking ship that calls itself the Colts. They will face the Raiders, who have been one of the most unpredictable teams in the league this year. Just in the last few weeks they nearly knocked off the Chiefs, crushed the Texans, got shut out by the Saints and blew a 17-0 lead over the Jaguars. This is the perfect opportunity for head coach Josh McDaniels to get his team back on track. The offensive talent the Raiders have is too good to be shut down by a team in such shambles like Indianapolis. I’ll back Saturday’s squad to lose by at least a touchdown on Sunday.
