NFL Week 16 same game parlay (+4946 odds): Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs Carolina Panthers

17. Panthers (26): As prodigal son Cam Newton prepares to reclaim QB1 status in Carolina, you have to wonder if injured Sam Darnold -- he's guaranteed nearly $19 million in 2022 -- is already entering.

The 2021 NFL season has been a wild ride, and we’re already onto Week 16. The holidays are here, and what better way to celebrate than by betting a same game parlay? I cashed our mega parlay for Week 13 on Sunday at +1255 and I also hit the Week 11 mega parlay at +1762, so I’m feeling it right now when it comes to big money parlays.

Here we go:

Carolina Panthers ML (+320)

Cam Newton to score 2+ TDs (+1900)

Parlay odds: +4946

We have a 2-leg same game parlay, which pays out at almost of 50/1 with FanDuel Sportsbook. Let’s break it down.

Carolina Panthers ML (+320)

To start this same game parlay we have the Panthers on the money line. If Carolina is going to have a last stand, it’s going to come here. The Panthers are at home in a division rivalry game against a truly ravaged Buccaneers team. As you’ve probably heard by now, the Bucs will be without Leonard Fournette, Chris Godwin, and Mike Evans. And we all saw what their offense looked like without those weapons last week, when Tampa Bay scored 0 points in an embarrassing shutout loss to the Saints.

Carolina’s strength is its defense, and there is a very plausible scenario where Tom Brady has another rough day. It’s not just those guys, either, that are out; the Bucs are also going to be without crucial pieces like Antoine Winfield and Lavonte David on defense. Don’t count out head coach Matt Rhule’s squad just yet.

Cam Newton to score 2+ TDs (+1900)

If the Panthers pull off an upset here, it likely means Newton had a big day. I just don’t see Sam Darnold coming in off an injury and having too much success. Rhule is going to ride the hot hand, and even if that’s Darnold, Newton is still going to see the red zone and goal-line work. Newton’s legs have been the one positive part of this offense recently, and he has scored a rushing touchdown in all five games since signing with the Panthers. As such, I really don’t think it’s far-fetched that he will score two here, especially when combined with the first leg of our same game parlay — which will require some success from Carolina. Newton had multiple rushing touchdowns in 4 of 15 games last year, so getting 19/1 is just too good to pass up.
