The perfect way to start your weekend is on the ice tonight, as we have a great 10-game NHL slate. After breaking down the matchups, I have targeted 3 favorite plays. I’m piecing them together into a parlay with a mega payout for you that could cover your bets for the weekend action to come. There are 3 different bet types in this mega parlay for a bit of variety for you, as well. We have to wait until 2 of the later games to cash, but the teams should make it worth it. Before we dive in, be sure to check out our NHL picks for today’s action.

Seattle Kraken ML (+110) over Washington Capitals

We are getting things started with a straight upset in the nation’s capital. The Kraken are not the inaugural team that were last season, and look here to stay. They were just upset, themselves, but still remain in 2nd place in the Pacific Division at 15-7-3. Meanwhile, the Capitals have been very inconsistent, and are in the bottom half of the Metro Division at 12-12-4.

The Caps will still be without key skaters Tom Wilson and Nicklas Backstrom, who have been part of the backbone of the team over the last few seasons. Even when the Kraken were a far weaker team in 2021-22, they beat Washington 5-2 in their first meeting. Better yet, they also won their first game against them this year just 8 days ago. Although this matchup will be on the road, that shouldn’t cause any concern. The Kraken are an incredible 8-1-1 outside of Seattle — the 2nd-best road record in the NHL. They’re behind only the New Jersey Devils in that regard, who are 21-4-1. The Caps are not of that caliber, and the Kraken can sink them tonight.

Vegas Golden Knights -1.5 (+100) over Philadelphia Flyers

Let’s head out west while still targeting a struggling Eastern Conference team. The Flyers had Philly fans hopeful through the first few weeks of the season, but they’ve been in a downward spiral ever since. They just lost their most recent game to the aforementioned Capitals 4-1 on home ice and now travel all the way out to Vegas. Unlike the Kraken, they are just 3-5-4 on the road. Frankly, it hasn’t really mattered where they play over the last month.

The Flyers have now lost 13 of their last 15 games and have fallen to 2nd-to-last place in the Metro Division. Their primary issue has been their poor goaltending as of late. In the last month, the Flyers have allowed 3.93 goals per game, the 3rd-most in the NHL. Vegas is just outside the top 10 in terms of goal-scoring and can certainly break into that territory after tonight’s game. There’s also hope that Golden Knights star Jack Eichel will be ready to go for this contest. Even if he’s not, Vegas has still maintained the best record in the Western Conference at 19-8-1 and should grab their 20th win against Philly.

San Jose Sharks 3-way ML (+135) over Anaheim Ducks

Lastly, we have another west-coast matchup out in California. There’s no denying that neither of these teams have been fun to back this season. They are the last 2 teams in the Pacific Division and have just 15 wins combined. While that may cause hesitation in backing the Sharks, they can prove they are the far superior marine predator against the Ducks tonight.

Anaheim is among the worst in the NHL in several regards, including the most shots allowed per game, 2nd-most goals allowed per game, 2nd-worst power play and penalty kill, and — again — the 2nd-most penalties committed. That’s a lot of 2s and they should come in 2nd again by the end of this game. The Sharks are no juggernaut, but they have one of the leading point-scorers in the NHL with Erik Karlsson. He has 35 through 29 games, and San Jose has 4 skaters hovering right around a point per game. The Ducks rely solely on Troy Terry and Trevor Zegras to carry their team. There will likely be plenty of goals in this game, but it should be the Sharks that come away with the win in regulation.
