The most interesting game of the weekend, to me, is the Dallas Cowboys vs Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Tom Brady posted his first ever losing season and still managed to squeak his way to a division title. The Bucs were shaky to finish the season but could see center Ryan Jensen return for Monday’s game and that would be huge. Tom Brady stated this week on his “Let’s Go” podcast that the Bucs will be as healthy as they’ve been all year. The Cowboys finished the season 7-2, but Dak Prescott threw 11 interceptions over the last 7 games, which has left many questioning how far the Cowboys can go. As far as the result goes, this is my only upset of the weekend, with the Bucs winning 24-21. But let’s get into my best player props for this Cowboys vs Buccaneers matchup.

Tom Brady Over 27.5 completions (-130)

To put it simply, Brady has hit this line in 68% of games he finished this season (removing Week 18). The Buccaneers’ offense leads the league in pass play percentage (66.7%) and this Cowboys pass rush will ensure that Brady is getting the ball out quickly, likely for short yardage gains that have a higher completion percentage. Dallas ranks 5th overall in rush DVOA, allowing a rushing first down only 23.9% of the time (11th-best). Brady has hit this line in 11/17 (64%) games and 7/9 (77%) at home. He also hit this number in his last two playoff games, both at home. 1U

Cowboys rookie DaRon Bland has taken over the slot role for the Dallas defense and depending on who you ask, he could be someone to target this week. Bland has logged 4 interceptions in the last 6 games. This is exceptional. The reason he’s logging all of these interceptions? He’s really fun to pick on in the slot. Bland is giving up a target every 5 snaps and a reception every 6.6 snaps, the worst amongst starting CBs on the Cowboys roster this late in the season. Against teams with superior slot receivers, Bland has been taken to school. When playing the Jaguars, Bland allowed 12 targets, 7 receptions and 62 yards. The following week against the Eagles, Bland allowed 9 targets 6 receptions 67 yards. This is my favorite matchup of the game on Monday night. 1.5U
