NFL pick today: Kansas City Chiefs vs Las Vegas Raiders – Over 52.5 points (-110), 4:30 pm ET

The over is 5-0 in the last 5 meetings between these teams with an average combined score of 60.9 in those games. Considering 3 of those 5 games had a closing total higher than 53, it seems like we are getting a relatively fair price here at 52.5.

The Chiefs’ defense has allowed at least 24 points in 4 of the last 5 games, and if Vegas can eclipse that mark this week that means Kansas City only has to reach 28 in order for this over to hit — which is below their season average of 29.1 points per game. For that reason backing the over will be the play this afternoon.

College basketball pick today: Kansas Jayhawks -2 over West Virginia Mountaineers (-110), 6:00 pm ET

The battle-tested Kansas Jayhawks picked up a huge 75-72 win on the road against Texas Tech last time out on Tuesday, covering as a 1-point favorite. The Jayhawks are also 2-0 SU/ATS in two true road games this season, while going 5-1 SU and 3-3 ATS in six games off campus. The defending champs have been doing it with timely offense, and solid defense. The Jayhawks allow just 65.1 ppg and put the clamps  down on the opposition, with a defensive field-goal percentage of 40.0%.

The Mountaineers on the other hand, have picked up 10 wins on the season, but West Virginia limps in on a two-game losing streak after suffering road losses at Kansas State and Oklahoma State. They’re coming off a 67-60 loss in Stillwater to the Cowboys, failing to cover a three-point number. While West Virginia is 7-0 SU at home this season, it is just 4-3 ATS — failing to cover the past 2. Given their recent struggles, backing the Jayhawks to win and cover will be the play.

NBA pick today: Boston Celtics vs San Antonio Spurs – Under 234.5 points (-110), 6:10 pm ET

The Celtics’ defensive prowess held Luka Doncic and the Dallas Mavericks to just 95 points in their last game and they should have similar success tonight. Their play on the defensive end has resulted in 4 of their last 5 games coming in under the combined 235-point mark.

Over the last 10 games the Celtics have not given up many easy scores to opponents. They rank in the top 10 of the NBA in opponent fast-break points, second-chance points and points in the paint. That should put further constraints on the Spurs offense, therefore making the under worth a play.

NHL pick today: Detroit Red Wings vs Toronto Maple Leafs – Over 6.5 goals (-115), 7:07 pm ET

Detroit is playing the tail end of a back-to-back, while Toronto just can’t seem to get any consistency from their goalies. Toronto’s offense will be counted on to do most of the heavy lifting tonight, but we can expect Detroit to contribute at least 2-3 goals.

The Maple Leafs have given up a whopping 17 goals in their last 3 losses. Those came against Arizona, Seattle and St. Louis, which is concerning. The Red Wings’ goaltending is ranked 20th in the league, so the Leafs should have no issue generating chances and finding the back of the net. This game will have two struggling goalies starting for their respective teams, so backing the over will be the play.
