Sunday NBA four-team mega parlay (+896): Suns cook the Hornets

Damian Lillard jumping parlay

There may only be four games on the NBA slate today but that is plenty to throw in a mega parlay. The action starts at 1:00pm ET when the Phoenix Suns pay a visit to the Charlotte Hornets. Nine hours later the Orlando Magic and Los Angeles Lakers will wrap up the day at the Staples Center. NBA TV is bringing us the Atlanta Hawks and Denver Nuggets at 9pm ET so bettors will be able to see a game out of market. All in all, we have a nice little Sunday planned and it doesn’t include a trip to Home Depot or Bed Bath & Beyond. The only thing left to do now is figure out who’s in the Sunday Four-Team NBA Mega Parlay.

Phoenix Suns -6 (-110)

The Phoenix Suns have won four of their last five games and will surely be looking to finish their current east coast swing strong. They have the fifth most efficient defense in the NBA on the season which could slow down a middling Hornets offense that has looked good recently. Looks can be deceiving though as the recent Hornets’ success has come against teams that have either not been at full strength or just aren’t good. Charlotte was embarrassed by the Los Angeles Clippers that last time they played someone comparable to the Suns. Look for that to happen again today.

Trail Blazers/Raptors Over 228 (-110)

Damian Lillard should be back in action tonight which bodes well for over bettors. On top of Lillard being back, there should be plenty of motivation as the two teams swapped players at the trade deadline. Norman Powell is now a Trail Blazer and Gary Trent Jr and Rodney Hood are now members of the Raptors’ rotation. Jusuf Nurkic also made his return Friday night playing 18 minutes and recording eight points to go along with eight rebounds. Portland is one of the least efficient defenses in the league which should create an environment where both teams go back and forth. The over looks like the play.

Hawks/Nuggets Under 225 (-110)

Two of the slowest teams in the NBA square off on NBA TV at 9pm ET tonight when the Hawks meet the Nuggets. Over the last three games, neither team has seen over 98 possessions per game as they both seem to want to grind it out. Both have been two of the most inefficient defenses in the association but when playing at a pace like this, points could be hard to come by. The under seems to be the move here.

Los Angeles Lakers ML (-110)

The Orlando Magic traded their whole team at the deadline and while they competed against the Trail Blazers Friday, it hard to imagine that kind of fight sticking around. Portland was without multiple rotation pieces after trading Trent Jr and Hood. On top of that, Lillard was out which makes them only losing by seven seem understandable. Despite missing LeBron James and Anthony Davis, the Lakers have slowly started to gel and showed that they can smash inferior competition. They should win tonight and hopefully cash our parlay.
