Jamahal Hill ML over Glover Teixeira (-140)
Jamahal Hill comes into this fight with an MMA record of 11-1. He is 6-1 in the UFC, most recently beating Thiago Santos by KO/TKO in August 2022. Hill is averaging 6.46 significant strikes per minute and has a striking accuracy of 52%. He is absorbing 3.51 strikes and has a striking defense of 45%. His grappling has been ineffective, having not landed a takedown in the UFC, but he does have a takedown defense of 65%.
Hill is the favorite in this fight, and he looks to be the right side. He has won his last 3 UFC fights in a row, all of which came by KO/TKO. Glover Teixeira has won 6 of his last 7 fights, but Hill’s superior striking looks to be the biggest difference. For that reason, backing Hill to claim the title will be the play.
Deiveson Figueiredo vs Brandon Moreno – Fight to go the Distance – Yes (-135)
This will be the fourth fight between these guys, and each has won once with one draw. This fight is very evenly matched with Brandon Moreno as the slight favorite. Two of the 3 fights between these guys have gone the distance. Moreno has never lost by finish in his career, while Deiveson Figueiredo has just 1 loss by submission, which came against Moreno. Even though they both have plenty of wins by finish, both guys should be able to hold up for 5 rounds, therefore backing this fight to go the distance will be the play.
Terrance McKinney ML over Ismael Bonfim (-125)
Terrance McKinney comes into this fight with an MMA record of 13-4. He is 3-2 in the UFC, most recently beating Erick Gonzalez by submission in August 2022. McKinney is averaging 4.70 significant strikes per minute and has a striking accuracy of 56%. He is absorbing 2.11 strikes and has a striking defense of 53%. His grappling has been elite so far in the UFC, averaging 5.11 takedowns per every 15 minutes and 2.0 submission attempts during the same time period. His takedown accuracy is 50% and he has a takedown defense of 100%.
McKinney is a small favorite in this fight and looks to be the right side based on his balance. His striking volume is not as strong as Ismael Bonfim, but his grappling and submission ability is superior. Bonfim has also not fought in an official UFC event, so this will certainly be a step up in competition. For that reason, backing McKinney will be the play.
