UFC on ESPN 37 takes place on Saturday at the Moody Center in Austin, Texas. This card features a featherweight fight as the Main Event.

We are sharing our UFC on ESPN 37 best bets here, but head over to our main UFC on ESPN 37 predictions page for picks for each fight on the main and preliminary card. Let’s get into our best bets for Saturday’s card.

Main Card Best Bets

Donald Cerrone vs Joe Lauzon – Fight to go the distance – No (-225)

Donald Cerrone is a decent favorite in this fight, but the fact that he has not won since 2019 makes fading him a viable option. Joe Lauzon has not been the most consistent either, losing 3 of his last 4 fights. It is more likely that this fight ends inside the distance, seeing that Cerrone has had 36 of his 52 career fights end by finish and Lauzon has had 35 of his 43 fights end by finish as well. Cerrone has also seen 4 of his last 5 fights end by finish, while Lauzon’s last 3 fights in a row have all ended by finish. For that reason, backing this fight to end inside the distance will be the play.

Damir Ismagulov ML (-170) vs Guram Kutateladze

Damir Ismagulov comes into this fight with an MMA record of 23-1. He is 4-0 in the UFC, most recently beating Rafael Alves by unanimous decision last month. Ismagulov is averaging 3.75 significant strikes per minute and has a striking accuracy of 43%. He is absorbing 1.90 strikes and has a striking defense of 65%. His grappling is good too, averaging 1.75 takedowns per every 15 minutes. He has a takedown accuracy of 36%, but a takedown defense of 100%.

Ismagulov is a solid favorite and looks to be a solid play in this fight. His striking might not be quite as good as Guram Kutateladze’s, but his grappling is superior, so backing Ismagulov to win will be the play.

Preliminary Card Best Bet

Jeremiah Wells ML (+105) vs Court McGee

Jeremiah Wells comes into this fight with an MMA record of 10-2-1. He is 2-0 in the UFC, most recently beating Mike Mathetha by submission in February. Wells is averaging 3.55 significant strikes per minute and has a striking accuracy of 50%. He is absorbing 1.58 strikes and has a striking defense of 20%. His grappling has been solid, averaging 1.48 takedowns per every 15 minutes and 1.5 submission attempts during the same time period. He has a takedown accuracy of 12% and his takedown defense is 100%.

This is a pretty even matchup, but Court McGee has been very inconsistent in the UFC. He is 2-3 in his last 5 UFC fights and 4-6 in his last 10 UFC fights. McGee does have a little bit better striking, but Wells has the better grappling in terms of being able to force a submission. For that reason, backing Wells to remain undefeated in the UFC is the play.
