Good morning, Pickswise Nation. It’s another big day in the world of sports, so let’s not waste any time and get right to making your next bet better with Wise n’ Shine!

About Last Night

Dolphins upset Bills in battle of undefeated teams
NFL Red Zone never disappoints – especially not during the 1:00 pm window. It delivered the goods once again on Sunday, highlighted by a wild one between the Miami Dolphins and Buffalo Bills. Miami, which was a +4.5 underdog, prevailed 21-19 to reach 3-0 and drop Buffalo to 2-1. Meanwhile, the Pickswise team cashed a trio of Same Game Parlays (Colts-Chiefs at +1118, Ravens-Patriots at +854 and Broncos-49ers at +490).

Judge stuck on 60 after Yankees-Red Sox gets called early
Aaron Judge was held without a home run during a 4-game series in the Bronx between the Red Sox and Yankees, leaving him at 60 dingers for the season. Judge went 1-for-2 with a double and a walk on Sunday night before the game was called in the 7th inning because of rain with New York leading 2-0. That cashed our +847 3-team mega parlay on the spot, as Yankees -1.5 was the last leg that needed to hit for us.

Today’s Slate

Cowboys visit Giants on Monday Night Football
With the Philadelphia Eagles having raced to a 3-0 record, the Giants (2-0) are trying to keep pace in the NFC East and the Cowboys (1-1) want to stay within a game of the division lead. Needless to say, it’s a big one – and you can watch it on either ESPN (standard MNF broadcast) or ESPN2 (ManningCast). Here is our full Cowboys vs Giants predictions.

Penultimate week of the MLB regular season gets underway
Major League Baseball isn’t really competing for viewers with Monday Night Football. We are starting a new week on the diamond with only 4 games, including a matchup between the Red Sox and Baltimore Orioles at 7:10 pm ET on ESPN+. Be sure to read all of our MLB picks.

Best Bet of the Day

NFL: Saquon Barkley to score a touchdown (+105)
Dallas Cowboys vs New York Giants, 8:15 pm ET, ESPN

Barkley has battled injuries for most of his NFL career, but the former 1st-round pick is now healthy and playing some of his best football. In the season opener, he averaged 9.1 yards per carry and went for 164 yards and a touchdown on the ground. That was followed up by another 21-carry effort in Week 2, including plenty of red-zone touches. The Penn State product has generally been productive against the Cowboys, not only in the rushing department but also via receptions. Expect New York to feed him the rock early and often in what will likely be a competitive contest throughout, so Barkley’s 2nd TD of the 2022 campaign should be incoming. Check out the rest of our Cowboys vs Giants best touchdown scorer bets.

Stat of the Day

Dating back to the 2015 NFL season, division games with totals of no more than 39 points are 20-13-1 (61 percent) to the over. The over is also 5-2 in the last 7 meetings between the Cowboys and Giants.

Quote of the Day

I think the best player in the world is the person that is the last man standing. It’s the person that takes his team to the finals, the finish line and helps them win the game… That’s how I view it. I believe the best player in the world is Steph Curry.”

— Giannis Antetokounmpo during Milwaukee Bucks media day. Antetokounmpo is a +600 second favorite to win NBA MVP behind Luka Doncic (+425). Curry is +1200.
