Week 3 of the 2022 NFL season wraps up with a good ol’ NFC East showdown between the Dallas Cowboys and New York Giants. It’s one of the best rivalry in sports, it’s Monday Night Football and Peyton and Eli are back on ESPN2. What more could you want?!

Oh, you also want a Same Game Parlay? Well, ask and you shall receive. Below is our SGP for MNF, and also be sure to check out our full Cowboys vs Giants predictions on the side and total.

New York Giants -1 (-110)

Over 39.5 (-110)

Saquon Barkley Over 23.5 receiving yards (-114)

Saquon Barkley anytime touchdown scorer (-110)

Parlay odds: +676

Part of the value in same game parlays, of course, is that all of its components can be correlated if you so choose. That is the entire plan here, as Saquon Barkley having a big day would obviously work well with both a Giants cover and an over play. Let’s break down each of these legs one by one.

New York Giants -1 (-110) over Dallas Cowboys

The Giants were miserable last year and haven’t made the playoffs since 2016, but this season was promising from the start. They were due to avoid the injury bug and also got a major upgrade at head coach with the arrival of Brian Daboll. We are already seeing Daboll have an impact on the general demeanor and attitude of the franchise early this season, so it’s hard to bet against the G-Men right now. While the Giants haven’t faced a murderers’ row of opponents to this point, they have beaten the teams in front of them while showing impressive resolve in doing so.

As for the Cowboys, their defense may be stout but Cooper Rush is still in at quarterback with Dak Prescott on the shelf. Rush is serviceable, but he isn’t going to strike fear into New York. Look for new Giants defensive coordinator Wink Martindale to dial up enough exotic pressures to limit Rush’s effectiveness, allowing the home team to take care of business.

Over 39.5 (-110)

There are some injury concerns on both defenses. The Giants are potentially missing their best defender in DT Leonard Williams, who has missed most of practice this week. Cowboys all-world LB Micah Parsons is going to play, but he has been dealing with an illness. Although New York may not entirely shut down Rush, Ezekiel Elliott and company, the offense can do enough to win this game and take it over the total.

Nobody is more dangerous than Barkley when he gets the ball in his hands. He already has 7 rushes of double-digit yards, including 2 of more than 30 yards. Moreover, you will occasionally see a low-total game end up going over because of defensive turnovers as well as a bunch of 3-and-outs which lead to short fields and ultimately more scoring. Both offenses – and QBs, specifically – could contribute to that. Since 2015, totals of 39 or less in division games are 20-13-1 (61%) to the over.

Saquon Barkley over 23.5 receiving yards (-114)

Barkley was targeted 8 times through the air in Week 1, proving that he is the clear focal point for this New York offense and not just on the ground. He had 3 receptions on 4 targets in Week 2. In a game against Dallas during his rookie season, Barkley had 14 catches on 16 targets for 80 yards. Even last year when the former Penn State star was a shadow of his real self he made 4 catches on 8 targets for 24 yards in the second head-to-head meeting. With Jones potentially under consistent pressure by Parsons, he will likely resort to plenty of quick dump passes to his trusty RB.

Saquon Barkley anytime touchdown scorer (-110)

Barkley is back in a big way for the Giants’ offense. He has battled injuries for most of his NFL career, but the former 1st-round pick is now healthy and playing some of his best football. In the season opener he averaged 9.1 yards per carry and went for 164 yards and a touchdown on the ground. That was followed up by another 21-carry effort in Week 2, including a number of red-zone touches. Expect a similar output in a game that projects to be another competitive contest for the Giants, so Barkley’s 2nd TD of the season should be incoming.
