Good morning, Pickswise Nation, and welcome to a busy Tuesday of sports. We have a massive day in the NHL to look forward to, plus a few marquee matchups in the NBA. Let’s get straight to making your next bet better!

About Last Night

Bears roll on Monday Night Football
Monday Night Football hasn’t been all that compelling this season, but last night’s game offered a bit of intrigue with the quarterback battle between Mac Jones and Bailey Zappe. Zappe was clearly the better of the two quarterbacks, but it ultimately didn’t matter as the Bears cruised past the Patriots 33-14. Pickswise NFL expert Clevta cashed his 3-star best bet on the game with his Bears +8 prediction, bringing our best bets record to 29-11 on the season!

Busy night in the Association
It was another eventful night in the NBA, highlighted by a high-scoring affair between the Memphis Grizzlies and Brooklyn Nets. In other games, the Bulls knocked off the Celtics, the Knicks cruised past the Magic and the Sixers got their first win of the year over the Indiana Pacers.

NHL handicappers stay hot
It was another successful night in the NHL for our handicappers, as our team finished 8-3-1 on sides and totals for the evening. We also cashed our Hurricanes 3-way ML best bet to give us a 5-1 run on our 3-star plays. Be sure to check in with our NHL best bets all season long.

Today’s Slate

Western Conference powers highlight NBA schedule
It’s a quieter night around the NBA, but there are still a few marquee games. All eyes will be on Luka Doncic and Zion Williamson when the Mavericks take on the Pelicans at 7:30 pm ET. That intriguing Western Conference showdown will be followed by another potential playoff preview, as the Warriors will do battle with the Suns to cap off the night.

Loaded NHL Slate
The 2022-23 NHL season rolls on with another jam-packed slate on Tuesday. First up is an anticipated matchup between the Colorado Avalanche and New York Rangers. Other games include the Penguins vs Flames, Lightning vs Kings and Devils vs Red Wings. Be sure to read today’s NHL predictions.

Best Bet of the Day

NHL: Detroit Red Wings ML over New Jersey Devils
7:30 pm ET

We’re just a couple of weeks into the new NHL season, and the Red Wings have already cashed 2 best bets for us. It seems like they could continue to be a cash cow for us this season until oddsmakers catch on to the improvements they made during the offseason. They’re off to a 3-0-2 start to the season, and the 2 overtime losses were certainly ones Detroit could have pulled out in the end. The Wings handled the Devils with ease earlier this season, winning that game 5-2. Not only that, Detroit was on the second night of a back-to-back. Now they’ll be the ones at home and the Devils will be the ones who will be on the second night of a back-to-back. Check out our full Devils vs Red Wings predictions.
