Welcome to another super Saturday of sports! We have a big MLB slate plus UFC, MLS and Wimbledon tennis to enjoy today, so there’s no time to waste. Let’s get straight to making your next bet better!

About Last Night

First-inning streak reaches 4-0
The latest addition to the Pickswise MLB content package is our daily advice for the first-inning run markets — or YRFI/NRFI picks — and we went 2-0 yesterday thanks to early scores in Chicago and Atlanta. That
took us to 4-0 over the last 2 days and 6-2 overall. On the field, the Yankees beat the Red Sox 12-5, the Reds upset the Rays in the 10th, the Marlins rebounded to beat the Mets 5-2, and the Dodgers and Mariners won the late games over the Cubs and Blue Jays in extra innings.

Today’s Slate

15 MLB games today
We have a full 15-game MLB Saturday slate, with the Tigers and White Sox getting things started at 2:10pm ET. Rays vs Reds is being shown on FS1 at 4:10 pm ET with Yankees vs Red Sox and Giants vs Padres on FOX at 7:15 pm ET. Blue Jays vs Mariners is on ESPN+ at 10:10pm ET. Check out our picks for all today’s MLB games.

There’s UFC, soccer and tennis, too
Don’t miss our UFC on ESPN 39 predictions or today’s MLS soccer picks, and it’s the women’s final at Wimbledon today, so naturally Ricky Dimon has the best bets.

Best Bet of the Day

MLS: Under 2.5 goals in Nashville vs Charlotte
7:00 pm ET, ESPN+

Nashville’s visit to Bank of America Stadium to take on Charlotte should be a cagey affair. The hosts are coming off their first road win this season at Houston Dynamo, but they have been much better in front of their fans with a 6-3-0 record, allowing just 0.66 goals per contest. Nashville is coming off a disappointing 2-2 draw at home with the Portland Timbers. The key for Nashville has been their defense, and they give up just 1.18 goals per game away from home (5th in MLS). Charlotte’s home games average just 2.00 goals, while Nashville SC’s road matches are averaging 2.45 goals, and 6 of 11 have finished with under 2.5 goals. Expect both defenses to be focused in this critical matchup. Read our full game preview for Nashville vs Charlotte.

Stat of the Day

The Yankees have won 10 of their last 12 games against the Red Sox.

Quote of the Day

“Cameron was dominating the play and I felt like I got lucky in the second set to break his serve. He kind of gifted me a game and the momentum shifted a bit. That’s the significance of the semifinals of a Grand Slam.”

Novak Djokovic put his experience to good use to reach his eighth Wimbledon final. He is a -375 favorite at FanDuel Sportsbook to beat Nick Kyrgios tomorrow.
