About Last Night

Pickswise NBA Best Bets go 3-0 on a fantastic Friday
The Pickswise NBA handicapping team headed into the weekend in strong form, going 6-3 on the sides and cashing all 3 of our 3-star plays on Friday, with Timberwolves -9.5 and unders in the Bucks vs Bulls and Rockets vs Nuggets games. There were a couple of surprises, as the Magic beat the Raptors and the Pelicans crushed the Jazz, but the Suns avoided being upset by the Knicks with a 3-point buzzer-beater to win 115-114.

Tight night in the NHL
There were 7 games in the NHL on Friday and none of them were decided by more than 2 goals, with 3 going to overtime — including a 3-2 win for the Hurricanes over the Penguins.

Best Bet of the Day

Purdue Boilermakers -10 vs Indiana Hoosiers
2:00 pm ET, ESPN

The Hoosiers are fighting for their NCAA Tournament lives after losing 6 of their last 8 games and falling below .500 in conference play. They are now just 9-10 in the Big 10 and 18-11 overall heading into the season finale at Mackey Arena. Things are not looking bright for this Indiana team after losing to Rutgers at home on Wednesday. The Hoosiers are desperate for a win, but the Boilermakers are one of the best teams in the country on their home court. Purdue is trending downward but has been outstanding at home. The Boilermakers are 15-1 on the season, with their lone loss coming to the regular-season conference champion Wisconsin. In their last game at home, they beat Rutgers 84-72. This Purdue team might not be the national champion contender that we once thought due to their recent road losses, but they are in as good as they come when playing at Mackey Arena.
