Good morning, Pickswise Nation. Week 10 of the 2023 NFL season kicks off with Thursday Night Football between the Panthers and Bears. We also have college football and college basketball action in addition to games in the NBA and NHL and golf. It’s another big day in the world of sports, so let’s get straight to making your next bet better!

About Last Night

  • Week 11 of the college football season continued with Miami (OH), Bowling Green and Toledo all winning big. The Pickswise team cashed all 3 ATS plays and hit NCAAF parlays of +596 and +612.
  • The Kings, Senators and Panthers were NHL winners on Wednesday and the Pickswise experts cashed both of their NHL player prop bets.
  • In the NBA, Denver edged Golden State 108-105, Philadelphia scraped past Boston 106-103 and Houston destroyed the Lakers 128-94. The Pickswise NBA experts cashed a +406 Same Game Parlay in Spurs vs Knicks.

Today’s Slate

Best Bet of the Day

NCAAF: Louisville Cardinals -20 over Virginia Cavaliers (-110)

Louisville has a lock on second place in the ACC standings, and with only this game and a trip to Miami remaining on the conference slate, the Cardinals are in great shape to make an appearance in Charlotte for the conference title game. They have posted consecutive victories by more than 20 points. For the Cavaliers (2-7), the season on the whole has been a struggle. The Wahoos were smoked at home by a very pesky Georgia Tech team last weekend. They are weak on defense, while Louisville boasts a powerful, well-balanced offense. The Cardinals can run the ball effectively and their passing attack is also potent. This should be a beatdown. Check out our full Virginia vs Louisville predictions.

The Louisville Cardinals are 12th in the nation in total defense and averaging more than 40 points per game at home.

Quote of the Day

Matt Eberflus: “Right now we’re listing him as doubtful.”

Reporter: “If he’s not medically cleared, how come doubtful versus out?”

Eberflus: “Yeah, just to see. We gotta give him one more day; give him one more day. But he’s working hard and it’s getting better every day. So we’ll see where it goes.”

Reporter: “He’s not playing tomorrow?”

Eberflus: “Yeah he’s not playing.”
