About Last Night

Heat close it out as home teams dominate
The Heat put an early end to their NBA Playoffs series against the Hawks with a 97-94 win on Tuesday, the first of 3 home teams to win on the slate. Ja Morant led the Grizzlies’ late rally against the Timberwolves as Memphis won 111-109, while the Suns beat the Pelicans. The Warriors are favorites for the championship at +320 odds at FanDuel Sportsbook, with the Suns at +430, the Celtics +460 and the Heat +550.

Pickswise cappers go 12-3 on MLB sides
It was a terrific Tuesday on the baseball diamond for Pickswise, as our handicappers went 12-3 on ML/RL picks. Mark Lammey hit both his MLB player props at plus money, and our Tuesday MLB parlay cashed at +487 odds.

Canes clinch Metro Division title
It was a busy day in the NHL with playoff hopes being fulfilled and ended. The Carolina Hurricanes wrapped up the Metropolitan Division crown with a 4-3 win over the Rangers, while the Nashville Predators clinched a wild-card spot despite losing 5-4 in overtime to the Flames.

Best Bet of the Day

Miami Marlins ML vs Washington Nationals
7:05 pm ET

The Miami Marlins opened their series against the Washington Nationals with a 5-2 win on Tuesday, and will be looking for their 4th straight win tonight. They are in a great position to take the 2nd game of this series because they will be starting Pablo Lopez, who has been by far the best pitcher in their rotation so far, posting a record of 2-0 with an ERA of 0.52. In 3 starts this season, Lopez has allowed just 1 earned run in 17.1 innings. The loss on Tuesday was the 6th in a row for the Nationals and things do not look to be getting better anytime soon. Read our full game preview for Marlins vs Nationals.
