While he won’t be on the field, it will be the Micah Parsons Bowl on Sunday Night Football in Week 6 when the Dallas Cowboys travel up north to Green Bay to play the Packers. The Cowboys are fresh off a home loss to a previously-winless Tampa Bay Buccaneers team with an undrafted rookie quarterback filling in for Baker Mayfield, while the Packers are fresh off a dominating home win over division-rival Chicago last week, who also played with a backup quarterback.

To get you set for this Sunday Night Football Showdown in the NFC, I picked out two player prop bets for you to make and will break each of them down for you now. Let’s get into the picks, and don’t forget our NFL picks for analysis on sides and totals of every game throughout the season.

NFL Week 6 SNF Prop: Matthew Golden (GB) longest reception Over 23.5 yards (-113)

Odds available at FanDuel Sportsbook at the time of publishing. Playable to 24.5 (-115).

The Dallas secondary couldn’t stop a nosebleed right now, and I’m not sure the addition of Joey Porter Jr. does much to fix it. If anything, Porter is probably going to line up opposite of Christian Watson, leaving Golden checked by some of the secondary pieces Porter was brought in to replace. Advantage: Golden.

The Cowboys are the worst team in the league in EPA per pass allowed according to SumerSports. Moreover, each of their top three corners not named Porter have surrendered at least one 25-yard reception this season, which is exactly where the Packers are likely to attack with their downfield threats – of which Matthew Golden is one. In fact, like Watson, Golden is top 10 in the NFL in receiving yards and yards per reception, and he’s essentially even with his teammate in yards after catch (PFF). Being about five yards cheaper, Golden is the play over Watson against this porous Dallas secondary.

NFL Week 6 SNF Prop: Javonte Williams (DAL) over 16.5 rush attempts (-120)

Odds available at BetMGM at the time of publishing. Playable to -125.

After Dallas’ embarrassing loss to Tampa last week, the Cowboys should want to run behind Javontae Williams in an attempt to sustain drives. The Packers have been more efficient against the pass than the run after all, sitting top five in EPA per pass versus 19th in EPA per run allowed, so it should be a good matchup for Williams in that regard. Moreover, the Packers are 24th in run yards allowed on early downs (SumerSports), which should keep the Cowboys ahead of the sticks and Williams runs as a focal part of the gameplan.

Williams has surpassed this number twice in the last three weeks. Though he’s fallen short of this mark in three of Dallas’ five games overall, one was a blowout, and the Cowboys were trailing for large portions of the other two games -- limiting the rushing attempts. This projects to be a close game, so there should be a decent floor on Williams’ workload this week.
