The weather is starting to get chillier, but the NFL action is heating up across the league. Week 6 has a handful of games with totals in the low 50s, so oddsmakers expect a high-scoring day – which means touchdowns galore! Ahead of the action, here are my three favorite touchdown bets for the NFL Week 6 slate, and don’t forget our NFL predictions for tips and analysis on side and total of every game this season.

NFL Week 6 Touchdown Scorer: Omar Cooper Jr. (NYJ) +650

Odds available at BetMGM at the time of publishing. Playable to +500.

Jets rookie WR Omar Cooper Jr. is expected to return this week after being sidelined since Week 1. While it’s probably foolish to expect a full allotment of snaps off a high-ankle sprain, this price suggests he will be an afterthought in the game plan, which I have a hard time seeing – especially with Breece Hall and Adonai Mitchell still out.

While New England CB Christian Gonzalez is expected to play, the Pats are beat up in the secondary with Carlton Davis and Karon Prunty listed out. Gonzo will likely match up with Garrett Wilson for a majority of the game, giving Cooper advantageous matchups opposite Wilson against the likes of Marcus Jones and Charles Woods.

I like the Jets and the over here, so I’m looking for New York to get into the 20s. Most of the production will be condensed to Wilson and Braelon Allen, but don’t forget about the first-round receiver for which the Jets traded up to draft. This price is too good to pass up, even if he’s on a snap count.

NFL Week 6 Touchdown Scorer: Davante Adams (LAR) -120

Odds available at BetMGM at the time of publishing. Playable to -135.

The Rams are significant favorites at home over their inferior divisional foes in the Arizona Cardinals, and oddsmakers expect LA to put up more than 30 points. As such, the Rams’ anytime-touchdown props are juiced, but this feels a bit light for Davante Adams when compared to Kyren Williams at north of -200 and Puka Nacua around -170.

Nacua being healthy limits Adams’ targets, but over the last two weeks, both players have garnered five red-zone targets, while Adams is tied sixth in the NFL in that regard. That seems consequential against an awful Arizona secondary that has surrendered the most touchdowns to wide receivers (10) per ProFootballReference and is second-worst in EPA per pass allowed according to SumerSports.

NFL Week 6 Touchdown Scorer: Ashton Jeanty (LV) -125

Odds available at BetMGM at the time of publishing. Playable to -135.

I know, I know; a second minus-money selection isn’t all that fun, but this is yet another price on which I have a hard time passing up given the matchup. The Bills are in a tough spot this weekend, staying out west after a Monday night overtime win over the Rams, and their defense won’t do them any favors in said spot. In fact, the Bills are a bottom-three team defensively in EPA per play and success rate (SumerSports), while they are abysmal in the red zone. Those red-zone struggles are especially pronounced on the road, where they surrender a touchdown on 90% of opposing attempts according to TeamRankings.

Given the spot and the soft Bills defense, the Raiders should have multiple red-zone attempts, and Ashton Jeanty gets a vast majority of the red-zone carries – 16 of Vegas’ 22 to be exact. He’s also good for around 20 touches in a competitive game, which is what I see here with a total in the low 50s. Moreover, Buffalo has surrendered the third-most touchdowns to running backs through five games.
