Best bet for NFL Week 8: Detroit Lions -3 over Minnesota Vikings (-112)

At 6-0, is it time to start putting some respect on the Vikings’ name? Well, no. At least not a lot of it. They beat a Green Bay team that was already in shambles at the time, survived an ugly 9-3 affair against Chicago after Caleb Williams left with a hamstring injury, defeated a Tampa Bay squad that started 0-5, scraped past the lowly Dolphins 15-10, got the best of a currently 2-5 New Orleans outfit and most recently edged out the inept Colts 16-10.

At some point Minnesota is going to get burned, and that point could be now against the toughest opponent it will have faced so far this season. That’s not to say that the Lions are setting the world on fire these days, but they are 4-2 and boast a prolific offense that can score even on the Vikings’ stout defense. Detroit is 4-1 SU in its last five home games against Minnesota, with three of those four victories coming by double-digits. Jared Goff and company should be able to prevail by at least a field goal on Sunday.

We'll have NFL picks for every game in Week 8!
