The Athletics have put up quite a fight in the first two games of this series against the Rays, but they've come up short by one run in each of the losses. The A's have scored two or fewer runs in three of the past four games, and five of the previous seven outings, averaging just 3.2 runs per game (RPG) in the past nine games.
For the Rays, they've won five in a row, while allowing four or fewer runs in eight consecutive games. In the past 10 games, Tampa Bay pitching has given up 2.8 RPG, with the Under going 5-1 in the past six outings. While it's tempting to take the Rays laying the run and a half, it's risky since Tampa has won the first two games by a single run each time. But, the A's will have trouble scratching out offense against RHP Drew Rasmussen (14-5, 2.81 ERA, 0.92 WHIP). Let's roll with the Under, and feel pretty confident in doing so.
Under 7.5 (-105) at time of publishing. Playable to -120.
