MLB Picks Today: Expert Predictions & Best Bets for Saturday, June 13, inc. Cubs vs Giants

The 2026 Major League Baseball season continues with another loaded slate of games on Saturday. The 15-game card includes a couple of anticipated showdowns, including a matchup between the Los Angeles Dodgers and Chicago White Sox at 4:10 pm ET. The action gets underway at 2:10 pm ET with a showdown between the Cardinals and Twins.

MLB best bet: Chicago Cubs ML over San Francisco Giants (-120)

After a poor run of form in recent weeks, the Cubs got back in the win column with a solid performance on Friday in San Francisco. Chicago looks to keep that going on Saturday, and the Cubs should be in position to build on that victory with Ben Brown on the mound in this one. Brown has tossed 4 or more innings in each of his last 6 outings, all while surrendering just 5 runs in that span. The right-hander has adapted very well to life as a starter, posting a 1.74 ERA while striking out 34 hitters over his last 31 innings pitched. It's also worth mentioning that the Giants lineup just faced Brown a week ago and things did not go well, as San Francisco registered just one hit over 5.1 innings against the reliever turned starter. With that in mind, we can expect a similar showing from Brown on Saturday, so I'll back Chicago as a short road favorite against a clearly inferior side.

MLB best bet: Los Angeles Dodgers -1.5 over Chicago White Sox (-120)

Despite the fact that they weren't expected to have much success this season, the White Sox have proven to be one of the more interesting teams in the American League. Chicago is currently in first place in in the AL Central, and the White Sox continue to defy the odds, having just swept the Braves and taking the series opener against the Dodgers on Friday. Unfortunately, they'll be going up against Yoshinobu Yamamoto on Saturday, who has allowed just 3 earned runs over his last 4 outings against the likes of the Padres, Brewers and Phillies. Yamamoto will be going up against a White Sox lineup that is noticeably without Munetaka Murakami in the middle of the order, which makes keeping down this offense a much easier task. The Japanese superstar has surrendered 1 or fewer runs in 6 of his last 10 outings, and he should get some run support from a lineup that is among the best in baseball. Let's target a bounce-back spot for Los Angeles on Saturday.
